Aaron Ramsey on Fulfilling the DREAM!

The Arsenal and Wales midfielder Aaron Ramsey has been reminiscing about how exciting it was to score the winning goal in an FA Cup Final, which he had the pleasure of doing as the Gunners came back from 2-0 down to win the trophy against Hull last year.

I have a feeling that he still feels the excitement of that day in his head. “It was a great day, and a great moment in my career as well,” Aaron said on the official Arsenal website. “The winner was just an amazing feeling and a great way to end the season, and the year for me.

“We were in extra-time and my celebration, I didn’t really know what to do! I was just running about and it all caught up on me then so I needed a couple of seconds just to get my breath back and realise just what I’d done.

“I was always scoring the goal in the FA Cup final [in the back garden as a kid] and, I managed to live my dream. It was definitely overwhelming.

“It was amazing to see there was a quarter of a million people on the streets [for the parade the next day]. It was a beautiful day as well and just to see how many people had come out… that was quite overwhelming, to realise how much it meant to them.

“You could see everyone was in it together and they had come out to show their appreciation.”

Arsenal fans were also very happy Aaron, we had waited nine years to see the Arsenal win another trophy, and your goal was a massive relief for all of us. Can you just promise me that you will try and win it a little easier this season please?

  1. Good aspect of a hard winner is that it can cementing our champion mentality. We’ve done it last season. Penalty shoot out, and comeback at final day, we’ve sailed the storm over. It’s some kind of mentality barrier you have to brake it down, not just a technical game on the field. After this barrier broken, titles will keep coming. FA Cup 2014 followed by Charity Shield. If our mental (which is high) and technical are all set and composed together, we’ll take the FA trophy, this time, WITH A BOLD STYLE. COYG!!!
