Alexis transfer denial may NOT be good news for Arsenal

On the face of it, Arsenal fans will probably be pleased to hear that our star striker Alexis Sanchez issued a firm denial to the question of whether he was set for a transfer away from Arsenal. Things are not quite so simple, though, so while we can take some hope from this it might be a bit too soon to start ordering your new Arsenal shirt with Alexis 7 on the back.

As reported by Metro, the Chile international was asked about a possible transfer to Bayern Munich by a German football reporter after Chile and Germany drew their confederations cup match yesterday, in which the Gunner scored with a bit of help from an error by his club colleague Shkodran Mustafi.

Alexis replied, “No.”

However, the report suggests that his reply may have been meant as he did not want to talk about it, as Sanchez has also offered evasive answers to other questions about his future this week. Even if this was a firm denial about signing for the German giants it does not mean that he will be staying and playing for the Gunners.

It might even signal the worst possible news for Arsenal fans, that he is determined to move clubs but wants to stay in the English Premier League, with title rivals Man City and Chelsea both said to be keen.

  1. realy, you write an article over a flipn know. you want to stress me with a headline.

media outlets are so desperate to say, see i told you so when and when…….bla blaaa blaaaa.DONT SPECULATE. JUST WAIT UNTIL YOU HAVE ALL THE FACTS.

    1. Exactly !. Telling us the blatant obvious of which we would’ve worked out for ourselves.

Don’t write an article until it’s worth writing !

      1. This goes to both of you ungrateful muppets ?? no one is forcing you to stay, your no key players ?? if you don’t like it … Jog on!
You’re just deadwood on here son. You hear? ?

      2. There’s articles all over the internet about it. Allot of them are taken it to mean he doesn’t want to go to Germany. And Arsenal might still keep him if we can offer whatever city are able to offer. The CL place could be a problem though, Alexis comes across to me as someone who will never write a season off, and it’s that comp he wants to showcase his talents most of all.

I hope he understands we can never allow it, him joining City Manu or Che. He needs to remember how rejected he felt when Barca brought in Suarez. And now his confidence is back and he’s our best player, all he needs to do now is sign.

        1. He will force the move into Pep’s open arms ?? and Wenger knows it, just wait & see.
In the meantime, Wenger is trying to get Mbappe and Lacazette to appease the fans and to prevent them from tearing the Emirates down when Sanchez moves to City.

Latest reports from France indicate that Arsenal are close to agreeing a fee for Lacazette. Talks are advancing and an agreement could be made very soon.

          1. how about us taking at least two of their players including kun Sergio Aguaro?

  2. I rarely watch Chile games but had a chance to yesterday.

It was worth noting that Alexis bucks instructions and shows signs of frustration to his Chile teammates the same way he does at Arsenal. Maybe the English media overblows certain things and the guy is just emotional on the pitch.

He has magical feet this guy, him accepting a contract extension would send a positive message in the football circles and the opposite would cause a lot of damage.

    1. An anonymous Legend ( probably Pires since he’s training with Arsenal) has stated that Sanchez is more trouble than his worth. He is constantly sulking, moaning and causing friction in the camp.
I can’t see how Wenger will convince him to stay and I very much doubt that Arsenal will kiss goodbye to £50 million just for the sake of keeping him for another year. Man city seem confident of getting their hands on Sanchez, which obviously means that they know that the player is keen to go there. We will find out more within the first week of July.

  3. Maybe Man City will help us pay for Mbappe, by buying Sanchez & Bellerin for a combined £120 million… I would even Chuck in Jack wheelchair for spare parts. ??

  4. If Wenger can sign mahrez, James & Aubermayang, he sud let him go. We experienced (ucl) what av not happened during their spell at arsenal. He sud stop frustrating us

  5. I just checked my calendar and Yup ?? It’s a National Pick on a Fat Kid Day … Lucky Me ??

  6. I am resigned to the fact that we have lost Sanchez. So gutted.
We ruined things ourselves. How cold we finish sixth after finishing second the previous season?
Anyway enough moaning. Wenger has to move fast and sign quality players and clear poor out performers.

  7. plz wENGER SLOWMOTION{PER’S BROTHER IN LAW} DONT buy mbappe for 130million quids..that is just too much money for anb 18yr old..

  8. instead of 100 million for Mbappe i would rather go for Aubemeyang and Caudrado or even jefferson Montero and Geye. teanage sensagtion we dont need for now … we have many teanagers coming through the academy. Myhrez is okay too as addition…. leave Lacarzete is being benched by Giroud so he is no better
