Are Arsenal set to sell Alexis to a Premier League rival?

Alexis Sanchez odds cut to join Man City by: Sam Eaton, Oddschecker

Summary:

– Sanchez cut from 10/1 to 7/2 to join Man City in the summer

– Chelsea remain favourites to sign Chilean

Alexis Sanchez has looked a distant figure in recent weeks, seemingly frustrated with life at Arsenal. Another embarrassing defeat for the Gunners to Big Sam’s Crystal Palace could be the last straw for the Chilean.

Despite Sanchez claiming he wants to stay and win trophies in the English capital, bookmakers have cut his odds considerably for him to team up with former boss Pep Guardiola. There appeared to be no bad blood between the pair following the 2-2 draw between Arsenal and City earlier in the month, where they lovingly embraced after the final whistle.

Pep signed Sanchez for Barcelona back in 2011, and has admitted he’s a huge fan of the Chilean playmaker. A reunion between the duo looks increasingly likely, Sanchez was 10/1 to join Man City in the summer before last night’s game but this has been cut to 7/2 (4/1 best odds) this morning.

Chelsea remain favourites to sign Arsenal’s main man at 3/1, but will face stiff competition from their title rivals plus PSG (11/2 best odds) and Juventus (10/1 best odds) for his signature.

I wouldn’t be shocked if he leaves, what incentive is there to stay, the club’s on a downward path and he’s 29?

I can’t see it being City of Sibneft though, he will want to go to Spain probably, or maybe PSG where easy trophies and much money is on offer, and Arsenal won’t want to sell to a rival.

Alexis tried his best for us no doubt. we r not good enough to keep him.he deserves to win EPL.if city offers enough money we should sell him. after all those smiles when we get humiliated says he doesn’t have any intention to be with us next season

its not a bad thing to sell Alexis to City because we would get shed loads of cash for a 29 frustrated player who will undoubtedly star huffing and puffing if things don,t go his way and City are not a finished item with or without him, we could use the cash to buy in young and dynamic striker

too bad we have become a cub f this stature.
Chelsea didnt sell their best players even when they finished 10th last season because they have ambition and change is made when required.
As for us.Same old same old

Arsenal are chasing Vieira, along with Liverpool and Tott. Brazilian Vieira, wow, how awesome will a Brazilian one be. He’s a forward though. Also read that we made an offer to Sead Kolasinac, Bosnian LB who plies his trade for Schalke. We missed out on Manolas before he left Schalke for a decent sum, this lad Sead is on a free but allot of Europe’s best are chasing him too.

I’m sure everyone’s aware of the Alexis – Aguero swap. I’d go for it if we have trouble getting our top target. Lacazette, how many people would take him over Aguero. Aguero knows the league, but his injury record is bad whereas Alexis is in peak optimum shape. Aguero is still the best finisher in the league, but how bad would his injuries go down at Arsenal. I’d prefer to swap Alexis for one of the games top CM players. Then purchase a striker as there seems to be quite a few about. I’d even hope that we try for a cheeky double signing on Dortmund, Aubameyang and Reus.

Sanchez? Am tired of him . Here is the case . Realistically we will place 7 or 8 this season because there is no way we will win any away match again. Wenger will go , some of our lazy players will leave and the rebuilding will start

Alexis has run his heart out for Arsenal and deserves better from his team mates and the club but if he wants to leave then Arsenal should send him back abroad and not strengthen our rivals.

Considering how the board and wenger guard the treasure vault, they will sell him to the highest bidder and use that cash to….well hopefully buy some valuable players.

What worries me the most is the total disconnection from reality by saying “He has 18 months left, I don’t see any concern !” I’m sure if the club showed a strong determination to improve, making huge signings or at least coming forward and say if Wenger will stay or not….maybe, just maybe we would have hope in the future.

Total disrespect for the fans and the club itself !

If you are really asking yourself that question, then you forgot what club you support.
You support a money laundry institution that despises sporting ambitions. For God’s sake, Usmanov and Dein are taken off the board, for exactly that reason-having sporting ambitions.

Not only that Alexis will be sold to a premier league rival, but he’ll be sold to blooming spuds if they offer the most money.
And once they do(be it spuds, chavsky or arab city), I hope the fans will retaliate by not buying a single piece of Arsenal merch as long as Kroenke rules the club.
