Arsenal alerted to transfer possibility of Milan striker

Shaarawy to Arsenal by SS

Arsenal have been alerted by AC Milan’s confession that they would be open to letting young star Stephan El Shaaraway leave the club for the right money. The comments were provoked by Manchester City’s interest in him but Arsene Wenger will be keeping a close eye on proceedings and may make a cheeky bid if a deal doesn’t work out with City.

“El Shaaraway? We never said he was not for sale,” said the Italian club’s vice-president.

Arsenal have around £70 Million to spend this summer and they have already cast their eyes far across Europe and a deal for Gonzalo Higuain looks to be the most promising at the moment. Arsene Wenger is interested in El Shaaraway because he has the potential to be one the world’s best players and no club would turn him down if they had the chance to sign him for the right amount.

20-year old El Shaaraway was recently named young player of the year in Serie A because of his amazing performances for Milan that carried much of the team through the season. They have fallen far behind Juventus in Italian football as they look to rebuild the squad after moving into a new era at the club signalled by the departures of players such as Andrea Pirlo, Alessandro Nesta, Clarence Seedorf, Gennaro Gattuso, Fillipo Inzaghi and now club captain Massimo Ambrosini.

Signing El Shaaraway would be a great boost for the squad, the only problem is where he would play. The club already has enough wide players but he can also play in a central role as a striker or a supporting player. Arsenal may look to him instead of Stevan Jovetic who is a similar player when operating behind the striker.

A deal is still unlikely though, as Man City will no doubt have more cash to offer to Milan and the player for wages.

Do you think a deal for El Shaaraway would be a good move if it was possible?

there was a time the boss admired him

but for now his target is higuain

El Shaaraway is a brilliant player and any fan who wouldn’t want him is senseless. Milan were relegation candidates at early stages of the season but he single handedly kept them in games. Yes Higuian is more needed, but this lad is world class.

Would love to see him in an arsenal shirt. That’s one that I’d definitely be excited about. He’s got the potential to be an Ibra or an RVP. Buy him Wenger, not confident though…

quality player. top top top player as wenger likes to put it.
i doubt he will be coming. only one of higuain rooney or jovetic will be brought in that forward positon. no more forward signings i guess because wenger is wenger no matter he has 7 pounds or 70m pounds.
between news doing rounds on twitter that fellaini is now an arsenal player and the deal that is agreed is 4 years.

Dont why everyone is saying this will never happen, far more possible than Isco, Gundogen etc and you still want them… El Sharawaay would be a great signing but would cost up to £30million and Wenger would deploy him on the wing not in the middle where he has played a lot this season for AC

I dont know much bout el shaarwy but I do know hes worth 20 mil and tbh I would rather add 5 mil to that and get argentinas no.1striker after messi , higuain because hes more proven and didn’t have one or two good season

if Arsenal shift 13 players – all deadwood (excluding youths) £662,000 per-week could be freed – £34.5million per yr

enough to pay rooney’s wage there is still interest in him

Im starting to thing Rooney would be the best signing we could make. The lift he would give the rest of our boys would be worth more than his talent 7

I dont know stephan very well.so i cant judge.
But this is my dream team after a successful window.
    GK-cesar
    CB-koscienly
    CB-vermalean
    LB-monreal
    RB-janmaat
    DM-fellaini
    CM-arteta{capt}
    AM-wilshere
    LW-cazorla
    RW-walcott
    CF-higuain
i was really surprised to see a gooner here claim that higuain is wasteful.wtf!if higuain isnt good enough for you then u dont football.the guy comes of the bench in madrid and scores.he is a starter for argentina where he competes with both tevez and aguero.
Get us higuain, fellaini, cesar, grenier and williams as 4th CB.
    Everyone is happy.

Unlike somany of you here, i have watched el sharaway play a full match, not once, not twice..but close to 12times, this kid is on another planet compared to all the other youngstars.. His pace and running with the ball is fantastic, his vision is eagle, his finishing is one of the best… I doubt he would choose man city over us.. He knows arsenal would improve im more, and give him more playing time.. I say we forget jovetic who thinks juve and chelsea are better than us..and go all out for either one of huguain/rooney/lewandowski then add el sharaway to either of those signed.. Play him on the left to flank our cf.

What’s with all this every Arsenal staff members on holiday bullshit. I don’t think they are more media shit because they write constant articles linking us to players and then when nothing happens they make more stories up saying all the staff are on holiday and this is the reason no signing have been made. Complete shit. How many people have ever worked for a company that lets all there staff take there holidays at the same time (apart from schools) secondly they’ll have specialist staff members whos job it is to negotiate transfers and this is the time of year when they’ve got to work they’ll take there holidays duing the playing season.

You must be a arsehole to acually believe that.

El Shaaraway is not unknown in the football world..am sure most fans here have seen him play many times..I have noticed this guy now for about two seasons…very consistent and would be great for afc but he is linked to City not afc….if city paid so much for Fernandinho Milan will demand a huge fee for him.He is young ,signed a new contract not too long ago..This basically means that AFC CANNOT get El Shaaraway..he will not be cheap…City is involved

Arsenal rejected him before he went to man utd, ramsey rejected man utd for arsenal, man cities young star says playing for arsenal would be a dream.. So i dont understand why you think we can get huguain, lewandowski but cant get el sharaway.. He wount cost more than £25m.. And if we can consider £25m for jovetic, then i say we sign el sharaway instead for even £26m

About the elshaway thing i would love him to come but people please we can grape “lewandoski” with 25 million and 90k wage. By Buying him we can strength our striker force and in other way we can kill man utd’s. B/c Rooney is leaving so if they can’t get lewandoski that can weak their forward. Enough said

The Fellaini “bomb” was just a “tactic” to drive the “naive” and undecided Arsenal fans to get their season tickets…!!

We will have players coming ( otherwise it would be suicide ) but of the same mole again… The £10 to 12 millions who will be good for few games and then find their “asses” warming the bench because Wenger would have realised he made mistakes again.

Higuain is what arsenal needs upfront, Giroud should watch or play capital one. Rooney can play 8, fellaini be recruited at song’s role at arsenal, Cesar should guard the goal post. jouncing Wolszcs Szcesney should sit at the gutter. Gervinho can go back to france. Nani can come in. I dont like vermaelen’s overlapping without return, Willians of swansea should foot be bill. Koscielny cost us so much trophy bound matches, i think we can swap him with Alaba.

We won’t settle for mediocre players if we are to actually improve on last season..
We all agree that 4 or 5 players are truly needed otherwise a season of chasing top 4 is all we can hope for..
I’m sick to death of AW bringing in 1 or 2 mediocre players and missing out on top players because of his stingy methods!!!
We are being patient but for how long ..?
To make a decent assault on the CL and PL we can’t afford to miss out on certain players.. I just hope these players that are being mentioned come sooner rather than later..

As Arsenal is, we need someone like Gonzalo Higuan as CF and Stephen EL Shaarawy as F(LRC)AM(LR) he will fit with our pattern and will bring in more pace, creativity, accuracy and clinical finish! But the only obstacle is his demanding price. If Ac Milan can take Gervinho( who is not playing well at the moment and is not going to improve) plus some reasonable amount or even take Something like 15-20M for him, I promise you, he will be our Neymar! Let’s not regret why we didn’t buy him as we are not doing with Gareth Bale! Let’s be wise!

He got a lot of talent, no doubt. But this is EPL. The most physical challenge league in the world, specially for young italian. Most succesfull italian I can remembered was Zola and Vialli. Although, I think they were never quite reach the top level in term of club tittle or personal achievement. I won’t count Ballotelli glance of glory, because he strictly fall down after that and blown away to Milan. In recent time, EPL has Fabio Borini (exactly the same age as Sharawy) who still struggle to earn his place at Liverpool. So, tell me why do we need the italian youngster? Even, I think Arsene isn’t considered El Sharawy at all. He should pay focus for Higuain transfer saga. Or at Benteke minimum.
