Arsenal betting: Are 25/1 and 40/1 value picks worth a shot?

Arsenal have had an upturn in fortunes of late, climbing the table to sit level on points with champions Chelsea in joint-fourth place, and are now well in contention for the league title.

There are various Premier League betting offers and markets available, and Arsenal are worth looking at for value. To win the English top division we can be found at a huge 40/1 (41.0), and a less-attractive 25/1 (26.0) to top the table at Christmas.

I’m not one of those deluded fans who will now claim we will win the Premier League, but I cannot completely rule it out on current form either.

Since our dreadful defeat to Liverpool, we have turned a corner and pulled together a string of six wins from seven outings, with our draw away to Chelsea posing as a strong result also.

We now sit only six points behind the Manchester clubs who are currently tied at the top, and I firmly expect both sides to have a blip in the near future, and United are yet to encounter any of the top sides as of yet.

Arsenal also have the added bonus of having home fixtures against Tottenham, Manchester United and Liverpool before Christmas if you were looking at that market, with Manchester City away being the only big six side we have to travel to.

If we were to continue our run up until the new year we would no doubt put a dent in the lead the top two currently hold over us, and I would be tempted by the odds on offer to be top come Christmas Day, and if (that’s a big if) we manage to get through the season without our usual build up of injured stars at a crucial point in the campaign, then we may even be close to the top come July.

Could we be the value pick to land our first title in 14 years? Will the Manchester clubs come unstuck in the coming months?

I’m not much of a gambler – but if you consider the title a 6 horse race

40-1 sounds like good odds to me.

I’m off to the bookies 🙂

All the bookies I know holiday in the Bahamas in winter,Backing Arsenal to win the league ensures they’ll not be cancelling their hols for quite awhile though the storms might.

You claim to not fancy Arsenal for the title but don’t rule it out and are therefore not deluded. All non- deluded fans would rule it out at any price. But then you do not rule them out for top at Christmas, at 25/1, despite being already 6 points behind both Manc clubs. I call that remote “possibility” deluded. I would give 25/1 against finishing the season in top 3 and same odds against for top two at Christmas. Bookies don’t lose money and if they are offering those odds then you would be well advised to leave well alone. In reality land where I live, quite undisturbed by most Gooners on here, the only long odds but not totally remote possibility is for top four at seasons end. You can already give the two Mancs and Chelsea the top three, so e are competing for fourth with Spurs, my pick(reality land, remember?) and Liverpool, who are strong favourites to fight for fifth and sixth positon with us. Furthermore, I will give you long odds ON that this reality post will get far more dislikes than likes, thus proving my point about being lonely in reality land, undisturbed by many Gooners!

If they gave us the odds Leicester fans got, then I’d bite. Even the betting without Manchester clubs is difficult, and the odds wouldn’t be worth the risk.

    PST how stupid are you?
We are not joint 4th, we are 5th.
If season ended now we would not be in Champions League!!
