Arsenal CANNOT use injury excuse as West Ham have more!

It is another must win game for Arsenal in the Premier League tomorrow, as with just 10 games left our chances of a top four finish and the usual place in the Champions League really is hanging by a thread. Recent form and the run of results do not bode well for us, but there are some reasons for optimism going into this game against West Ham.

One major one is that, for once, Arsenal have fewer injury problems than our opponents, according to physioroom.com, and as our squad has more strength in depth to start with that should give us an advantage. It certainly means that Arsene Wenger cannot use the absent players as an excuse, even though Koscielny, Cazorla and Cech would usually be the first names on the team sheet.

Slaven Bilic has six players missing on that website but Sky Sports are reporting that Michail Antonio is fit again and he will probably play. They will be without the first choice centre back Winston Reid and left back Aaron Cresswell though, as well as Obiang and Ogbonna in the middle. Arsenal cannot complain about fatigue either as they have just had an international break and are no longer in Europe, so no excuses lads, just go and get the job done.

    1. The next game we win will be used to announce Arsene’s ‘new contract’. Arsene is due to strike it lucky shortly and actually win a game, it could be tomorrow night.

      1. Nah I doubt that.

Alexis is letting his attitude affect his performance s, no Alexis ,no win.

You saw vs city how he just gave up and did not defend like he normally does, and it was when Mustafi lost ball out of position.
        Sanchez just stood and moaned.

  1. Ospina missed training today, it looks as if our third choice goalkeeper will be starting against West Ham ?

    1. Then I guess we actually have a chance to win the game. Never trusted Ospina between the sticks. He’s even more frustrating to watch than Almunia. Can pull off a brilliant save, that’s followed by a moment of complete madness. Martinez will be fine. As long as we don’t make Carroll look like a world class striker, we shall be alright.

      1. Tho only time ospina hashad a good run in goal was the second half of the 2014/15 season.

According to squaka statistics, the stats per 90 minutes played in the premier league 2014/15 season were
        Name/ games played/ goals conceded/saves per goal/clean sheets
        Ospina/18/0.61/3.18/0.44
        Courtois/32/0.96/2.10/0.38
        Hart/36/0.94/2.38/0.39
        De Gea/37/0.98/2.17/0.3

In other words, Ospina conceded less goals, made more saves per goal conceded and had more clean sheets. Goals conceded is particularly impressive, the other conceded 50 per cent more goals. I hope he is not injured and has a good run in the team. I cannot see him doing as well with the stats as 2014/15 with the pathetic defense we now have.

        1. Never thought I’d say this but I hope we loose, if we don’t win then Wenger can’t announce his extension. Top 4 is done this season, the best we can hope for is for embarrassing standings and hopefully Wenger will get sacked and we can rebuild. I can’t even believe it’s come to this, I’d take almost anything but relegation at this point just so he leaves. We want our Arsenal back!
