Arsenal forward ready to ease Wenger’s injury worries

Lucas Perez has moved to claim that he is all set for an early return from injury, just as Arsenal have doubts over Alexis Sanchez’s availability.

The Gunners are known for their injury problems, and this time of year is usually when things start to go wrong, and that appeared no different when having five doubts for Tottenham at the start of November, before losing Hector Bellerin and Alexis Sanchez to injury in the past few days.

Lucas Perez has now moved to declare he should be ready to return earlier than schedule, and could well provide us with a boost just as our numbers appear to be dropping.

The forward arrived in a £17 Million move back in August, but was given time to settle in before being flooded with regular action, and was just starting to impress within the side, before falling foul of injury.

Perez has been out since October 25, when he picked up an ankle injury when playing against Reading in the EFL Cup, and had been expected to miss around six weeks, but his words tell us he could be back before that.

Danny Welbeck is also in line to return in December, after a longer injury, although our hopes will still centre around the fitness of Alexis Sanchez, who has given us a different dimension this term.

Olivier Giroud may not be so keen on the Chilean remaining fit, considering he has been forced to sit and admire our season from the sidelines thus far, but he will have his chance to stake a claim for regular action in the coming weeks.

Would Perez put pressure on the Frenchman in Sanchez’s absence? Will Perez remain ahead of Welbeck in the race for football?
