Arsenal get DOUBLE injury boost from Ozil and Ramsey!!

It is still not absolutely certain that either Aaron Ramsey or Mesut Ozil will be fit enough to start the big Premier League clash with Man City at the Emirates stadium on Saturday, but the chances are looking a lot bigger than they were yesterday.

And if both Arsenal midfielders or either one is not quite ready for that game, they probably will be available for the Champions League trip to face Borussia Dortmund on Saturday. The Germany international who missed both of his country’s games during the break actually trained as normal with his Arsenal team mates yesterday, so unless Arsene Wenger is being super careful with him or saving him for Dortmund, he should start against Citeh.

And a Daily Star report has revealed that Ramsey has spoken about his injury and the fact that it is not serious. Although he still does not know for sure that he will be able to face the BPL champions, the Welshman is hopeful and understandably keen to.

Rambo said, “I’ll be alright – the pitch was very hard. There’s no give in it so I rolled my ankle a bit.

“Hopefully it will be nothing and I’ll be available for Saturday.

“These are the games you want to play in and I’m looking forward to it.”

Arsenal have a really tough month of fixtures ahead of us, with the next two vital games followed by three Premier League games in a week, away to Aston Villa and at home to Southampton and Tottenham. Then it is Galatasaray at home and Chelsea away, so the last thing we need is for key players to be missing and it might need a bit of rotation on the part of the boss.

How well do you expect Arsenal to get through these fixtures?

  1. With ramsey we win 65% of our games. Without him we only win 55%. He’s our most important player!
2.2 points gained with him. 1.2 without.

  2. Line up for city

    …………………….szcz……………………
    Debuchy……chambers…..kos….. Monreal
    ………ramsey…….flamini………wilshere
    Sanchez……….welbeck…………OX

We beat city in the cup when we took charge of the midfield, jack did a job on Toure. Also chambers for mert because i dont like the idea of aguero against merts pace.

    1. Chambers extra pace would be useful but I’m not too sure about dropping Mertesacker. Not having our 6’7 centre back as well as being without our 6’3 CF against a team with Kompany, Touré and Dzeko in it may prove costly at set pieces. Koscielny would be our biggest player at 6’2 without Mertesacker, assuming Sanogo isn’t playing of course…

    2. …………………………sczy……………………………….

      Debunchy………BFG………….Kos……..Monreal… .

      ……………Chambers……..Arteta…………

      Ozil…………………Rambo……………..Sanchez…..

      ………………………. (Dannyboy)………………………

This way, Debunchy and Monreal should not over commit themselves. SUBS: Campbell, Poldi, Carzola, Wilshere, Rosicky, Flamini, etc

  3. Cazorla can do a very good job standing in for Özil, but Ramsey can’t be adequately replaced, we need him this weekend – he needs to be in form too, he’s popped us for good goals but hasn’t been playing great, but a few of his lobbed passes over defences have been masterful.
I’d like to see Özil play, and by that I mean as CAM, not on the wing. I’m not saying we’re fine missing our £42.5m man, but Ramsey is the one we need most for this game, the engine in our midfield. Though of course we need a creative player like Özil to create the goals! Fortunately we’re blessed with quite a few of them at the moment, Özil is just the best of the lot.

  4. Here we go again quoting the Daily Star. When is Beano going to wright football articles 🙂 If Ramsey isn’t match fit we should rest him. It’s better to rest a player than to lose him for 5-10 games.

  5. The sooner both of our gunners return from injury the better! With so much important games coming up, having less injury to our players is vital and crucial! coyg!

  6. Happy birthday “bosscielny”! Would love you to cap off a good week by scoring one on man city on saturday! Coyg!

  7. Goodnight all, and don’t believe everything you read. We are the gunners and never let anyone take that away from us.

  8. I’m all for a little positive boost particularly on the part of ramsey’s recovery but…based on recent form and particularly against more physical opponents, I seriously wouldn’t wanna see ozil play ahead of cazorla or rosicky for this important fixture

Wenger please ozil is not a winger and it is criminal that him and cazorla play together when there is so much pace in the team now (sanchez, ox, walcott, campbell, welbeck, gnabry)

  9. Our squad is deeper
    and in better health
than it has been in a long time.
    Lets keep it that way.
    Take no chances otherwise
they may be out for months.
    Remember last season.
Wilshere is in his best form for a
long time and the same with Cazorla.
    Rosicky Podolski Wellbeck
    are all available too.
This is where Shad Forsyth has to step up
    and make the right call.
Thats why we hired him. Right?
Who ever plays will play well I am sure…

  10. It’s a big game so Rosicky plays for me. Ozil to sit on the bench and learn a few tips from the little Mozart.

    Welbeck
    Cazorla Rosicky Sanchez
    Flamini Wilshere (Ramsey if fit)
    Monreal Boss Merts Debuchy
    Szczesny

  11. all I want is a good game from the players n wish ozil and Rambo are fit again then we can beat man cit and silent our critics for once.
