Arsenal have to overcome a psychological problem

Arsenal may have a two-goal advantage over AC Milan going into tonight’s Europa League tie, but according to Arsene Wenger the Gunners have to try and avoid complacency and thinking that we are already in the next round. “We still have to play the game and win it,” he said. “You must win the game even if we concede early, yes of course. It all comes down to the performance.

“You have to respond mentally to the situation you face. Sometimes in a game you are 1-0 down but you can still win the game.

“This is one opportunity we have and we have to take it. We did half a job in the first game but Europe gives you a psychological problem you have to master. When you have won away from home, you have to finish the job at home but it is not easy because it always puts the team who is playing against you in the position of having nothing to lose.

“You have to face the fact that the best way to approach the game is to try to win it.”

We all know what happened in the last round when Ostersunds came to the Emirates, and it was a big blow to our confidence to be mastered in our own backyard, but surely Arsenal won’t make the same mistake twice?

Lol psychologicaly Wenger has already put it into players minds that going 1-0 down is fine wtf. Poor mentality. Forget about the first leg it doesn’t exist this is a new game it’s win or lose simple!

True, they cannot underestimate AC Milan just because they are leading

Arsenal were leading 3-0 against Anderlecht in Champions League but they became complacent afterwards, ended up in 3-3

AC Milan will have nothing too lose and they would not be too cautious like in the first leg. I hope our defenders and midfielders are prepared to anticipate Suso’s and Calhanoglu’s runs

Hope what Whitney said will occur today, Arsenal win and then Wenger announce he will be leaving at the end of the season.

Arsenal can make same mistakes twice, or thrice, or more. We’ve seen similar mistakes done in almost every match but by different players, if Kos does it this week, next week it’s Mustafi, the following is Chambers, then Cech, making mistakes won’t end at Arsenal, and thinking no matter how many mistakes you make you’ll be pampered like a kid by Wenger and be the first in the lineup for the next game. no one is eager to learn or even try harder, they are father’s sons

Hope we win this and chill peacefully for sometime

Can someone please confirm if this is true .
If Dortmund get knocked out of the Europa
We can start playing aubameyang ?

I can’t imagine so. The ruling is stupid, but to some degree I can understand it if we were playing Dortmund, but we’re playing Milan, so Auba should be able to play as it doesn’t affect Dortmund. I wouldn’t have thought the rules would change if Dortmund were knocked out.

Answer is NO. SIMPLY BECAUSE DORTMUND PLAYED IN EUROPA WHILE HE WAS WITH THEM. MATTERS NOT THAT THEY GO OUT BEFORE US; STUPID RULE STILL DISQUALIFIES HIM. Crazy but true!
