Arsenal injury problems eased by major Bellerin boost

I know that the Arsenal squad does still contain the France international right back Matthieu Debuchy, as the pictures on the Arsenal website of the players training before the Burnley match reminded us, while Rob Holding the young summer signing from Bolton Wanderers has played in the position as well as his more usual central defensive role.

Having said that I think it is fair to say that Hector Bellerin is one of the players that Arsene Wenger would least like to lose to an injury or disciplinary problem, so the Frenchman will have been nervously waiting to find out the extent of the injury Bellerin picked up playing for the Spain under 21s on Wednesday.

Metro has revealed that the Arsenal defender had been sent for a scan on a suspected muscle injury and that could have seen him spend a lengthy spell in the treatment room. But fortunately for us the speedy Spaniard is now back with his international teammates after the results were better than expected.

Bellerin has not missed a single minute of action for Arsenal in the Premier League and Champions League so far this season so hopefully this injury scare will mean that he misses the next Spanish under 21 game against Estonia on Monday and comes back to London not only fit but refreshed and ready to fire for the Gunners.

  1. During international matches break I am more interested in our players coming back in one piece.

    I’m happy bellerin is OK
    We need him big time

  2. I need confirmation that Bellerin hasn’t had his head turned by Barcelona and Manchester City, before I give my reaction.

        1. Are you being fair though? Even if he had his head turned, would you blame him though? Its obvious the Spanish mafia is on his case or how else would you explain his constant omission from Spanish senior team? Methinks he’s being deliberately frozen out to pressurize him into joining Barca, right now, I honestly think he’s paying them no mind but for how long can he defy those thugs? I believe no one, not even Hector himself knows how its all gonna play out in tye future, in the meantime, its best we concern ourselves with enjoying a fantastic talent and leave posterity in the future.

  3. That’s good news.
Now what about Xhaka? .. Is he injured? ?
I noticed that he isn’t in the Swiss Squad tonight.

      1. That is the best news, up to international standard, not injured but cannot play due to ban so cannot get injured playing. It would be good if all our international players were in this category, as long as the red cards are limited to international games.
