Arsenal interest in Ivory Coast international confirmed

Arsenal are never too far away from being linked with a new player and unsurprisingly, although the transfer window may have only just closed last month, the Gunners are already seeing plenty of links coming through the media channels.

Today’s report comes from the Metro, who have revealed that the agent of young football star Frank Kessie, has spoken of Arsenal’s interest in the player. Kessie’s agent reportedly said in a recent interview: “They [Arsenal] were here in Italy to watch him. Arsenal are a good team but there are a lot of teams interested in him so they’re not the only possible destination.”

Arsenal are known to scout a number of the world’s top young players on a regular basis, because Arsene Wenger and the Arsenal academy are always keen to add fresh new faces to the squad in hope of finding one of football’s biggest stars of the next generation. The only thing is that unsurprisingly the player we are currently showing a reported interest in, is Atlanta youngster Frank Kessie, who is already in the Ivory Coast international team. It’s no surprise that Arsenal are therefore linked with yet another young midfielder to join our ranks, to go alongside the likes of Krystian Beilik, and even this summer in Kelechi Nwakali, both who joined the Gunners not too long ago with hopes of being a first team player.

The next transfer window doesn’t open up for a few months and so if Arsenal are keen on landing the 19 year old, they will have to wait until January at least. However I cannot understand why, if true, that Arsenal would even be considering the signing of yet another young midfielder, given we already have so many of the same style of player already on our books.

  1. There are also reports linking him to manu, manc, chelsea, liverpool, shalke and juventus. He supposedly almost signed for sunderland and dream is to play for manu.

This latest report is probably the usual made up media rubbish.

  2. Speaking of Bielik and Kelechi, we’re all loving the strength of our first team lately and rightly so. The academy though has a bunch in it that if he worst comes to the worst, we could well see another Iwobi Bellerin or Fabregas pop up. This lad here I think they compared to a young Yaya.
