Arsenal must go hard and get Goals Galore against Hull

I am not going to be too hard on the Arsenal forward players for missing chances in the big game against Leicester City on Sunday. For one thing we did fi9nally get over the line and it was the result that really mattered in this Premier League title chasing match.

And it was not just the Gunners front line that was firing blanks either, because Aaron Ramsey and Per Mertesacker both fluffed their lines when presented with great chances, so it seemed to be a collective problem. Perhaps it was the desperate need for goals that was causing our players to snatch their shots and perhaps it was a lack of confidence brought about by our failure to find the net in three of the previous four EPL games.

Whatever the reason, we need to put it right very quickly because it will really start to cause problems if we continue to waste so many chances. The talent is there, as Olivier Giroud, Alexis Sanchez, Aaron Ramsey and Theo Walcott have all proved they can be clinical, but we need them to start firing again.

And the FA cup clash with Hull City on Saturday offers a great opportunity to get back among the goals. So even though we have that massive game against Barcelona the following Tuesday, I would love to see Arsene Wenger pick a very strong and attacking team against the Tigers.

Imagine the impact it could have if Rambo or Alexis was to go on a scoring run. So is it worth taking a few chances with the Barca game in order to open the floodgates and get Arsenal scoring freely once again?

  1. Lets be honest with ourselves for once

    Getting multiple goals galore against “huLL city” won’t do our EPL season alot of good!

    For F*** sake, we got bigger tests in manure, spuds, citeh , hammers ahead etc

    can we say the same bout goals galore in these other games?

    1. Massive test in Manu game. If we can come away from that second huge test with a win right after the lei one then I think we will gain great confidence. Huge match, we really need to throw everything into winning that game. It will also strike one of our tough away days off the list, really hoping to see the boys stepping it up.

      Side note, was not best pleased to hear M Dean taking charge of Hull game. Some might think I know he hates us but at least he’s not getting a chance to ruin our PL dream. Well wrong, what happens with mike dean is that like with a bull he can only see red when one wrong foot from an Arsenal player ..and sometimes he doesn’t even need to see a foot wrong as all are aware I’m sure.

  2. Wish to agree but injuries hunt us more than often. We cant afford to lose Sanchez or Ozil through injuries in this crucial time of the season. Especially when rotation can be affordable(against Hull)

    1. Against hull we should be giving minutes to those that need it most. Some have hardly played at all (ospina, chambers, gibbs, elneny, Welbeck, iwobi) whilst others could do with getting their form back (Mertesacker, flamini, Campbell, walcott, alexis) for me those x1 should all be involved if possible?

      I don’t think it would hurt either to give Tafari Moore a debut at Right Back

      Ospina
      Moore Chambers Mertesacker Gibbs
      Campbell Flamini Elneny Alexis
      Walcott Welbeck

      Cech Koscielny Monreal Coquelin Ramsey Giroud Chamberlain or Iwobi

      1. I’d rest sanchez if the decision was up to me! United’s fullbacks are young and inexperienced, considering what he did to darmian… He’ll be sure to give this one nightmares as well!! Oh… And need I explain his likely motivation against barca?

  3. There’s Just one small problem that faces us against Hull and thats the referee… Mike mr Bean is in charge of this game! ?
    I bet the FA were laughing when they appointed him for the job, what happened to him being banned from Arsenal games? ??

    1. We are not strong enough to place restrictions

      We are the patient, we are the tea sippers in the Library….remember

      L()L

      if i were us at the stadium, i wouldn’t make it any easier for Dean
      *serious face*

      1. That joke of a Ref, reminds me of that old comedian, Jasper Carrott ??he must be his twin! I can actually imagine Dean helping Hull out in defence, getting in the way of our striker’s and then up the other end, getting on the score sheet with a diving header from a corner kick! ? ?
        Saying that he slipped .. and therefore the goal counts! ?

        One things for sure, there will be controversial decisions against Arsenal, with Dean in charge.

        1. dean’s record against arsenal is so far out of normal, that there’s no way its due to random luck or chance. the man is indictable and should be let go by FA.

  4. We should rotate against Hull, yes. But I’d like to give some key players some minutes as well. Otherwise they’ll be 10 days without competitive football.

  5. What has happened to our online petition which signed last year to have Mike Dean banned from officiating in any Arsenal game? I know when the signatories reached 100K signed when I received the update from Jamie Cassar. But I was taken aback by the slow and very low response by the over 7 millions Arsenal’s registered fans on twitter. Out of them only just a little over 100K have signed the petition. That showed we were not serious with our case to have Mike Dean banned from officiating in Arsenal games as our signatories are not up scratch to be debated upon by the House of Commons. If at all it was sent to the House for public hearing and latter qualified to be debated upon by the parliamentarians. And now Mike Dean is back to spit at our faces. That’d a shame on us!

    As I have said in one of my comments today, the Boss MUST rest nearly all his 1st team starters in the Hull game for our very important Barca game. I can’t see the Boss fielding his 1st choice team for Hull and then start them again for Barca with just only 2 days interval rest.

    My starts for Hull: Ospina;
    ChambersDeAbreuKoscielnyGibbs;
    ElnenyFlamini;
    OxchaboIwobiCampbell;
    Welbeck.
    My bench: MaceyArtetaRhino’BellerinMonrealWalcottCoquelin.
    I hope he Boss will accept my proposal.

    1. Are you serious? Parliament to discuss whether a referee should officiate at Arsenal games, what an idiotic, brainless thing to even contemplate. Don’t you think our government has more important thing to worry about, (mass migration, ISIS, shortage of funds, lack of Doctors etc). Get into into your wooden head, referees are nothing to do with government.
      It’s not often I feel like getting abusive to people of diminished thought process, but I could make an exception.
