Arsenal need a new owner! Dangote anyone?

The calls for Arsene Wenger to go at the end of this season, has been stronger and louder than usual. This is quite expected, especially when results are not going our ways. However, I don’t think sending Wenger packing alone, will solve our problems, the shareholders need to go as well

Stan Kroenke and Mr. Usmanov were successful business men in their various fields before they decided to buy over sporting franchises. Being a successful business man is no small feat; you need to know when to take drastic decisions to rejig your business, especially when things don’t seem to be moving in the right directions. Managing a football club of Arsenal’s status, means you need to be ruthless in decisions making. Have they done that? The answer is as visible as sunshine!

For several years now, Arsenal has been in need of a new coach with fresh ideas. A new coach who was going to guarantee us of a trophy, at least every two seasons. A new coach who was going to take over from Arsene Wenger and build on his legacies at Arsenal. It was so glaring that we needed a new coach but to the owners, Wenger was doing just fine, as long as the bucks keep rolling in. They are more interested in making money than winning trophies! That is no way to run a football club! A football club that does not aspire to win trophies, should cease to be in existence. A shareholder that cedes so much power to an employee, will surely lose so much power to such an employee! Wenger has been given so much power to manage the team the way he wants to; even the shareholders seems to be scared of sacking the man. Who is going to be our saviour?

Great clubs in England and other countries around the world are owned by men and women who are hungry for football success! Chelsea, Leicester city, Real Madrid and PSG, are just a few examples of clubs whose owners are interested in success financially and sporting wise. These clubs are rich today but they so boast of trophies! They are not afraid to sack any coach who fails to deliver, no matter the pedigree of the coach. Wenger won’t have lasted up to 4 years in any of these clubs, unless he upgrades himself. This is how to run a football club.

Arsenal needs new owners, owners that are hungry for success on the pitch! A rich business man who is really passionate about winning trophies! I keep on reading in the news of how much Africa’s richest man, Aliko Dangote, wants to buy Arsenal. Well, i pray his desires comes to pass because I want such a man running Arsenal; he is a crazy supporter of Arsenal and he knows what it means to win trophies! Do you guys know of any other business man who can turn the situation of Arsenal around?

  1. I still think it’s a tad easier to get rid of Wenger, because of Arsenals massive fanbase, it’s difficult that we’ll soon start losing rapid amounts of money forcing Kroenke to sell. So let’s start with what is somehow possible (or maybe not) and get rid of Wenger.

  2. I am thinking of buying Arsenal FC.
I am currently running a bank balance
    of US$1539 mostly from my
    pizza delivery business.
Will $1539 be enough to convince Kroenke to sell?

  3. Kroenke is the real problem !
A buyout is desperately needed….i hear Southampton are being targeted by some chinese conglomerate …ffs even Portsmouth in League 2 are talking to the ceo of Disney !
Now Disney would be a great fit as we are fast turning into a Mickey Mouse team !

  4. Funny Article, even in disney world it can’t never be possible. Arsenal would NEVER be sold, don’t forget that the club has different shareholders and partners. If Kroenke leaves arsenal today,be sure that his son josh would take over his father’s shares, why did you think Stan brought his son on board? Am hoping that Stan leaves Arsenal in 7-10 years time, then maybe Josh might be persuaded to sell his shares to Usmanov or his Son. Let’s start with something achievable, hoping that Wenger and his staff leaves.

  5. incompetence from the board the manager and the players is what it is.
We need more than just wenger leaving to change our fortunes.
We stilll have people like gazidis and kroenke feeding on our club like parasites

  6. something is happening at Arsenal that don’t make seance,

there are 15 players with only 15 month left on their contract, this is suicide for the club

i wonder if Stan is ready to sell and is no longer investing in the club, in that case in coming owners have a lot to do,

it can also be that they estimate that we will not be in the CL next season and a complete overhaul of players, if so then it will take two or three seasons before we can be competitive for any challenge for silverware

or they are just Dumb and Dumber and complementary lost the plot and think that what ever they do the value of EPL top clubs go up and up so just sit back and enjoy the growth without splashing out on silver polish

      1. They know most of them will sign in a heartbeat, and they probably thought that the players would up their games in playing for a contract. We had a few that used to be a bit like that, Walcott springs to mind.

  7. I just read an article from last year. It’s an interview with Dangote. He says he’s waiting for his oil refinery to get rolling before he opts out to pay the asking price for AFC shares.
Then an article from this month says that the refinery will start working in 2019, so I’d say it’s around 2020 that we can see some good things happening for Arsenal fans.

  8. The biggest corruption in Kroenke owning so many shares it that no one was suppose to own more than 29.9% of the club. WTF???? If this rule stood true then we wouldn’t be in this mess.

    1. And how the bloody hell can Usmanov not even have a voice. Then Dein too for that matter when he’d be the smartest one around the whole bloody table.

  9. I’m thinking we should try swap Alexis for Verratti, the lads pure class and we are struggling to get things right in that area for years. It be a great start, he’d replace Cazorla but he has more bite about him and sly tricks of which we lack. The hard part would be persuading him to come, if the money’s right he’d go for it. Forwards seem to be in abundance all of a sudden but we won’t get someone of Alexis level.

  10. You say he knows what it means to win trophies, in what capacity does he know. All I know of him is he said similar to what Usmanov said about investing his own money, but unlike Usmanov he wasn’t shrewd enough to claim a piece of the pie. If it’s a choice between the two I mentioned I’d take the Uzbekistan.

  11. I cannot understand why some people are STILL calling for David Devin. He introduced Kronke to Arsenal for F sake!

    1. Can you please share that information?
I am aware that Dein introduced Ustmanov and he was falling out with the other share holders so he sold his shares to Usmanov, never have I read Dein support another share holder.

  12. Whao woooh! Ooooh!!
Are you jester, or just simply ignorant, and have ambiguous desire. Just anyone!, and the just anyone you could mention is a stupid pick.
How did you write what you don’t know about purporting it to be a solution? You writing is a proclamation. You are picking a profiteer, a chronic concession seeker, who seeks not to pay tax, use govt. assets for almost nothing, yet making big profit.
This is the sort of fans who wants to be heard by a board. How does a director sit down to listen to this. Too low score.
