Arsenal player ratings for West Ham win – Ramsey MOTM

Arsenal player ratings for West Ham by Bob

I know that a lot of Arsenal fans will say that Olivier Giroud should have got the nod and it was very close for me, but once Ramsey added a goal to his brilliant performance, and considering it was his first start after an injury, I gave it to the Welshman.

Ospina – 7 – Didn’t have too much to do but made a sharp save from Nolan at 1-0 and gives the defenders confidence. Perhaps should have caught Jarvis’ cross but he was clattered.

Mertesacker – 6 – He was okay but could have done better with a couple of headers and clearances.

Koscielny – 8 – Our best defender was always alert and on hand to snuff out any danger.

Monreal – 7.5 – Did nothing wrong and is making it very hard for Gibbs.

Chambers – 6 – Recovered well after a poor first half when he was caught out of position at times. He did put in some good crosses.

Coquelin – 7 – Another assured performance from the revelation of the season.

Ramsey – 9 – What a star! Rambo reminded us what we have been missing. Didn’t put a foot wrong and got involved in our attacks and took his goal well.

Ozil – 7 – I would have given him more for his work, vision and passing but what was that awful ball about when he had the goal at his mercy?

Walcott – 7 – Apart from spurning a few chances, which I will put down to rustiness, I thought he did well and gave us a real threat.

Alexis – 7 – Looks like he needs to recharge his batteries. Even then he made a good contribution but should have done better with his chances.

Giroud – 9 – Great game from the big man. Flicks, tricks, strength, awareness, assist and what a finish!

Subs

Welbeck – 7 – Good sub appearance from the FA cup star.

Cazorla – 7 – Would probably have got a better score if he was on longer but he still had chance to show his class.

Flamini – 7 – Scored a goal, that’s about it.

          1. any news on gabriel? we need him so bad for tuesday.
him and kos will give us chance to focus on forward play.

tired of seeing mert being saved by kos,
we would be a different team without mert..im sure of this

kos motm- ive been saying hes unsung hero since last season.
            he plays for two people

            1. for anyone wanting to see wayne rooney getting knocked out,
type in rooney phil bardsley- just watched it- made my morning

  1. Good ratings giroud just edged it for me but there was little between him and ramsey. Same again tuesday night and ill be one happy man COYG

  2. Kos or Giroud was MOTM for me, Kos was dominant at the back and Giroud was involved in everything good we produced – If Theo was sharper Oli would’ve had a couple more assists. Also, Flamini should not have the same rating as Cazorla for simply being the beneficiary of Santi’s brilliance.

    1. @Champagne Charlie
Exactly. Kos”Da Boss” at times, was doing the job of 3 defenders…
      So underrated by our fans/supporters…

  3. Suddenly, I keep looking at the league table and see 2 things our improving goal difference, and Man City being dragged back into the top 4 fight. That second spot entirely in our reach, lets remember Besiktas and Udinese nearly done us over 2 legs and I dont want the hassle a play-off. Our aim must be to take 24 points from our remaining games which will include 2 big scalps, we have already one monkey off our backs (beating United) lets get another (Chelsea at home).
As for Monaco ??????? Well at least I have hope.

    1. Imagine City get knocked out of top 4 and Utd get knocked out of top 4 after the money they spent.

      1. would love to see that.
but then how much did liverpool spend -over 100 mill
how much did spuds spend- over 100 mill

southampton in top 4- now that would be something

        1. @muffdiver
I really want Soton to get there…They deserve it more than the rest of those posers.

  4. You are generous to give Walcott and Sanchez a 7.
But your ratings are better than KJs. Nice work Bob Paisely

      1. Can’t see it going any other way. So’ton win we drag Chelsea back a little. Chelsea win and we don’t need to worry about so’ton as much.

United win and we are away from spurs. Spurs win and we are clear away from united.

If any draws happen than points dropped.

        No bad results. Just preferences.

  5. @admin

You did an article a while ago to see how many wanted Wenger out and how many did not.

I think there were many good performances so why not do something similar for just arsenal users to select their MOTM

  6. giroud is such an enigma.

honestly dont know what to make of him.
he has improved alot this season, an yesterday he looked immense,
but what if he doesnt turn at monaco like last time.

his all round game is excellent but he is inconsistent-its bizarre lol

  7. Kos not only played his position well…….

He also often covered for Mert and Chambers.

3 positions covered + clean sheet = MOTM.

  8. Walcott need to brace us. If he lost these chances agains Monaco it would have being disastrous. He need to take chances as they come. Even Giroud should learn how to dribble and take opponent on like Rooney did against Tottenham
