Arsenal promise to play top players in Emery’s opening game at Borehamwood

It looks like Unai Emery is going to be testing his top players that didn’t go to the World Cup right from the start, and our first game is just two weeks away at Borehamwood. The Hertfordshire club have already had confirmation from the Gunners that the new Boss has no intention of playing just kids when he is preparing for his first attempt at the Premier League.

This is the message Borehamwood have sent out to anyone who is interested in going to the game….

Arsenal Football Club have confirmed that they will be bringing a strong squad to Meadow Park, for our friendly against them, on Saturday, July 14 (3pm).

The friendly will be Unai Emery’s first match in charge of the Gunners and the club have said that the match will feature players who are not taking part in the World Cup.

The likes of Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Alexandre Lacazette, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Aaron Ramsey could all be available for selection, amongst a host of other star names, as Emery casts his eye over his new squad for the first time.

As supporters, you will be able to get an incredible first look at his management style and squad from close-range. Our Meadow Park ground capacity is set at 3,500 for the match, so you will be right on top of the action.

Tickets for the match are selling out extremely fast, with East Stand seating already completely sold out and we expect the West Stand to follow shortly, with very few remaining.

There are also a very limited number of standing tickets left, so we urge supporters to secure their ticket as soon as possible, to avoid disappointment.

Here are the prices if you are interested in going, especially as they will be selling out even faster when it is common knowledge that some of Arsenal’s top players will be there as well….

Seated Tickets:
Adults and OAPs £22
Concessions (U16) £16
Standing Tickets:

    1. read he was offered a new contract, so he must’ve turned it down. Thought he was one of the youth stars that had a shot at getting game time this season but I guess not. Good luck to him though.

    2. Arsenal has a host of midfielders especially in his position, it was always going to be hard for him to break into the team…

  1. Pedantic I know, but the football team is Boreham Wood (two words) in the town of Borehamwood (one word). Anyway, I’ve got my tickets, standing on the north terrace, it’s a lovely little ground and still the home ground for Arsenal Women. The game is all ticket so if you fancy it, get in quick. BTW my dad played for Boreham Wood about 70 years ago.

    1. what’s the relationship between Boreham Wood and Arsenal? I’ve noticed we play them frequently in pre-season now.

      1. The under 23s (I think) used to play their home games there and Arsenal Women have played home games there for a few years now. There is a large Arsenal following on the town of Borehamwood. It’s not far from the training centre at London Colney.

    2. Ahhh Sorry GB you have told me this before! Apologies….
It is a very nice wood near Boreham I believe!

      1. At least, under the new regime, our team will not any longer Bore “em any longer as WENGERS TEDIOUS CONSTANT SIDEWAYS PASSING HAS DONE FOR YEARS PAST. Even all these weeks later, I STILL wake up each morning overjoyed to think this dinosaur has foinally gone.
