Arsenal set to break Tottenham’s unbeaten run – Expect the Unexpected!

This has been one of those crazy years where us Arsenal fans can always expect the unexpected. We started off by winning every single game in pre-season and breaking Arsene Wenger’s awful record against Jose Mourinho in the Community Shield.

This win cemented our belief that this really could be Arsenal’s year, but what do we do next? Lose our opening League game at the Emirates to West Ham, with Petr Cech having a very forgettable League debut. We then got back on track with three wins and a draw in our next League games before that crazy night in Zagreb when we helped Dinamo break their unwinning 15 year record in the Champions League, and immediately followed that up with Mike Dean’s defeat to Chelsea.

Our reserves, who had played so bad in Zagreb, suddenly came good and knocked Tottenham out of the League Cup, and then we had a tough away game at the only team left unbeaten in the Premiership, and shocked ourselves (and Leicester) by winning 5-2! Now we were flying and expecting an easy win over Olympiakos, but yet another shock was on the cards!

Returning to reality we came across the new League leaders Man United, but somehow just blew them away in less than 25 minutes to lay down our real credentials as title challengers, and followed that up with four more wins, including becoming the first team this season to stop Bayern Munich winning.

Then yet another record fell when Arsene Wenger for the first time lost 3-0 to a lower League side, but bounced back to sweep Swansea aside, who we had never beaten with Garry Monk in charge.

Our embarrassing reversal in Munich, equalling Arsene Wenger’s worst ever UCL defeat, we now are set to come up against our arch enemies Tottenham, who are on a run of ten games unbeaten. I have no doubt that Arsenal will end their unbeaten record, just as they did against Leicester, Man United and Bayern Munich. This is just that kind of season…..

  1. Don’t know what to expect today with all our injuries!
We need our top players to be on their game and players coming in to show what they can do, (Campbell, Iwobi etc.).
I see from Arsenal’s website that Reine Adelaide and Glen Kamara are training with the first team. I’m excited to see more of Reine Adelaide.

  2. @ronny331, agree about adelaide but can’t say same about kamra boy liked out of his depth against Sheff Wed.

Hopefully ospina n arteta r back to add some experience to the bench

  3. I do hope we win today’s NLD and keep the pressure on Man city. What I think spuds are going to play for a draw , that might be the result end of the match.

  4. Guys, don’t panic, we will beat the spurs. Expect goals even from Campbell and Flamini, the ones nobody is happy to see on the pitch today
