Arsenal set to lose TWO players to Man United transfers?

It might be worth all the Arsenal fans out there becoming honorary supporters of Liverpool or Southampton until the end of the season, as those are the only two clubs that have a realistic chance of beating Manchester United to one of the top four places in the Premier League.

And it looks as though keeping Louis van Gaal and his United team out of the Champions League competition could be the only way that Arsenal can beat them to a couple of our big transfer targets this summer. Even with their heavy debt repayment, United will be able to easily match and beat any transfer fee and wages that the Gunners can come up with, or at least what Stan Kroenke and his cronies are willing to spend.

According to The Mirror it is United that are Arsenal´s main rivals for the signature of Borussia Dortmund and Germany defender Mats Hummels and he is set to choose Old Trafford over the Emirates, the way things stand. Arsene Wenger could afford him but we need him to prefer us as we cannot outbid United.

The same is probably true of the Napoli and Argentina striker Gonzalo Higuain, who the Metro are reporting is the other player being seriously tracked by both clubs. As part of the reason for both players wanting to leave their current clubs is their absence from the European elite next season, the Gunners could really do with United slipping into the Europa League…..

  1. ….. Hummels aint needed…. Did you see Gabriel yesterday snuffing out a two on one attack…. Now, dats the type of defender you need in your team… Not a slow , injury prone Hummels…… Higuain??? …. I laugh.. When we have two of the most dangerous strikers in the Epl in Giroud and Sanchez…….. Yesterday, Giroud was actually dribbling… Couldn’t believe my eyes… Giroud has really improved and we have Wenger and Sanchez to Thank for that.

    1. I also saw Gabriel completely mess up a tackle that led to a direct 2 v 1 situation that we were lucky not to concede from…

Having said that, we don’t need a CB at all anymore, we have 4 completely capable CBs.

  2. I shook my head in disbelief seeing Giroud dribble …..this Guy has come along way that I don’t feel safe if he’s not in the starting lineup …

  3. Off topic and a belated response but what did we learn from yesterday? Schez is still shaky and totally unconvincing. Per is slow and needs replacing, (gabriel looked good). Debuchy and/or gibbs should not have been started together and their fitness levels almost cost us over 120 minutes. Ramsey looked poor and ineffective, (not sure why he wasn’t taken off for giroud and welbeck to the wing). Theo still kooks lost, ozil is class. I still question wengers team selection and tactics from yesterday no doubt we were very lucky and it needed have been such an uncomfortable afternoon for players and fans.

    1. Some times it happens when
its a much weaker team the edge
is missing. The team will be
      pumping for Chelsea.

  4. Also giroud was fantastic at controlling the game/and clock in the final minutes very strong abd mature. He gets better and better 🙂

  5. Team selection was terrible. We have nothing to win in the league, therefore no reason to rest players and show reading so much disrespect.

Tactics started poorly and didn’t improve. Carzola was good but spent more time in front of the back four than le coq did.

Ramsey had a shocker, debuchy had a shocker, we had no right side and wenger failed to spot it and sort it out until extra time.

    Ospina,
    bellerin, gab, Kos, monreal,
    Le coq, santi,
    welbeck, ozil, Sanchez
    Giroud.

    Should of been the team.

We are gonna come unstuck in the next few games because wenger will make tactical errors and not find a plan to stop Chelsea or united. He will just set the team out and say do your best.

  6. Only rumours on top of rumours, we dont know yet if these are in fact real targets so am not sure how we know utd bound. There was another story saying that Schneiderlin is also a main target for utd. Every day i read Metro story and say to myself what happened to the one we where buying yesterday.

How come Dybalas people or the owner are saying the boy will be sold in the next week or two. Nothing can be done until window opens so i dont really understand. Also that youngster we supposedly signed or didnt sign not sure where its landed, Maxi… how is it that we can sign him or stories seem to believe we can but yet we had to wait for jan window before signing Bielik.

  7. Arsenal cant lose two players to Man Utd. because those two players are currently not on Arsenal wages. END OFF. If any of our current squad players are going, then its a whole different issue

  8. Sell. Podolski.Campbell
    Release.
    Flamini, Rosicky Diaby
    Loan. Sanogo Ryo Jenkinson
    Buy. Draxler and Kondogbia.
    Net spend 15m

    Ospina Szcz
    Bellerin De Buchi Gibbs Monreal
    Mertz Gabe Kos Chambers
    Le Coq , Kondogbia Arteta.
    Ramsey Wilshere
    Sanchez Wallcot Chamberlain Gnabry
    Draxler Ozil Cazorla
    Giroud Wellbeck Akpom.

    1. how the hell do you get a net spend of 15mil from that!?!?!?
Kondogbia and Drax would be 70-80million minimum combined. Podolski max 8 mil, campbell max 12 mill.
So about 50 million minimum net spend by my count

  9. off topic: if city lose or draw today and if chelsea beat Arsenal at emirates would they win the league at Emirates?!

    1. No chelshit have to win there next 2 games to win league, lets show them how to play football when they come to the emirates if the try and park the bus against arsenal we are more than capable of breaking them down.

  10. Hummels is not needed indeed we have Gabriel who I feel will be starting next season alongside Koscielny; not to mention Chambers who everybody feels as a long term future either as a CB or a DM!! The only way I see Hummels coming is if we engage in a swap deal and ship Per out (Highly unlikely)!!Same thing for Higuain, our forwards have a good if not great understanding and will be even better next season (Welbeck, Sanchez); the only way I see him coming in is if we sell one of the current forwards we have. Also unlikely; the only ones that looks to have an uncertain future in the current squad is Walcott and the other loanees (whatever happens with them will shape any buys as far as forward positions go)
