Arsenal Singapore Tour matches – Where, when, and how to watch them?

There are just five days until Arsenal’s pre-season begins in earnest with our first game against Atletico Madrid on Wednesday night at the Singapore National Stadium. Due to the time difference it will mean that we can watch it after midnight on Thursday night (early Friday morning) so don’t get confused by the dates!

This is followed two days later at the same time (early Sunday morning), when Arsenal take on Paris Saint-Germain, and then the final match is between our two opponents early Tuesday morning. Anyone in the UK lucky enough to have Virgin TV will be given a free two-month trial of Premier Sports on Channel 551. The rest of us will have to check our local TV listings, android box or streaming channels to see the game in full.

We should have all our new signings travelling with the squad and hopefully we will see Lucas Torreira in an Arsenal shirt for the very first time, probably against PSG. Our veteran keeper Petr Cech reckons that a tour is a great way to get to know the new boys. “I think when you are away on tour you get to know people in a slightly different way,” Cech said on Arsenal.com. “You see them every minute of the whole day for a whole week.

“Obviously, we’ll have time to work as well because usually on a tour like that, when you train, then you have some more time in the hotel where you can use it to hold individual meetings and discussions about certain things.

“I think the coaching staff have the chance to speak to certain people as well about the way pre-season has been going, what is expected, what they would like you to improve or not to do.

“All these things are beneficial for everyone, especially for the new players as well. When you have new players coming in, you get to know all the players and get a different perspective when you spend a whole week with them in a different environment. It’s easier than to carry on during the season.”

This will be a great way to kick off our season and I can’t wait to see which teams Emery puts out, and we can then look forward to the Chelsea game in Dublin with confidence of a great season ahead….

  1. Apologies but late booking in today-could I just go back a few hours to various posts suggesting Lazio have offered £25m for Iwobi.Leys grab the money quick before they SOBER UP.

      1. The match is 12.30 Thursday lunch time our time (uk)
It’s 19.30 kickoff there ,and I think there 7hoirs ahead .so I think your times are wrong admin unless I’ve had a brain freeze

  2. I wobi is a gud player but lacks technical knowledge….so he just needs some more time for him to improve and certainly the recent news about selling him are just roumers

  3. fans are also the problem of this club. Iwobi played better for Nigeria cos we keep on abusing the guy. IWOBI IN

      1. Iwobi was played out of position in Nigeria’s match against Croatia coupled with bad formation by the coach. So I don’t think Iwobi should be blamed for that. It wasn’t surprising that Nigeria played badly in that match. The coach admitted that match and changed tactics against Iceland.

  4. An informative topic from the Admin. But what are we to comment on? So the games are happening when you say. Thats great and thanks for the info. Next topic!

  5. What’s with the reports about Sommer, another keeper. Swiss keeper at B Leverkusen, surely this is a wind up, one pre-season game and journo’s are taking the piss.

  6. iwobi is a typical wenger player.

weak, doesn’t know his position, can’t shoot, only knows how to pass sideways.

thank God emile smith rowe and AMN will find unai emery during their development.

i have already seen in preseason players like aubameyang are now allowed to shoot on goal.
we are going to be very unpredictable this season and i would fancy this team

    4-2-3-1

    Leno

    bellerin…..chambers…..mavropanos…..monreal

    torreira……ramsey

    mkhitaryan…….ozil…….dembele

    aubameyang(c)

    1. But Dembele is not our player and won’t be coming either, except in your mind. With the exception of Lichtenstein for Bellerin and Lacazette for the non- Arsenal player existent Dembele, I like your team.

      1. jon fox if willian joins barcelona..
skysports reporting they have made a bid in excess of 55M.

        dembele to arsenal.
might just happen.transfers are crazy nowadays.

  7. Swapped to Sky from Virgin ( as they were crap! ) bloody typical! Oh well I’ll try and find it to watch elsewhere!

    1. Sue, from bitter experience I know and have known for ages that Virgin are the most customer unfriendly – I would actually say , hostile- company out there. I would not touch them with a bargepole after what I now know about them, even irrespective of price.

  8. Why aren’t we going for lazano. Keep Perez as backup and sell iwobi. I’m sorry to say but Ramsey deal could be completed by the next week. I would have loved him to be replaced by Max Meyer. Max is a brilliant ball winner and has a more defensive approach to the game but hes poor at passing which can be improved. But hell no to Ramsey nobody actually noticed he was caught off position leaving xhaka exposed which made him look bad. And to inform you guys Dembele ain’t leaving Barca for us unless seven pulls off a miracle.

  9. Arsenal fans are always quick to say Welbeck out, Iwobi out, Holding out etc. Do you guys even think about our homegrown quota? These players may not be top class but they at least help us meet up the crappy homegrown player quota.
We need 8 homegrown players, currently we have exactly 8 technically : Martinez, Macey, Bellerin, Holding, Chambers, Ramsey, Iwobi and Welbeck; of which if Leno and Cech stay.., one of Martinez or Macey may be leaving permanently or on loan.
The likes of Niles, Nelson and Nketiah are still under 21 so they don’t count as homegrown. Players like Jenkinson and Bramall though homegrown don’t seem to be in Emery’s plans for the club.
So take it easy with the “player out” chants will you?
    Gunners for life.

    1. You can go to any park Sunday league places and pick up 25 English players for peanuts and very easily too. Whay REALLY MATTERS is the quality of players. Home grown is a point but a very minor one by comparison with the vital need for top quality only. To have homegrown players who are no good is potty.
