Arsenal star buzzing over BRILLIANT team mate

The Arsenal and Spain international star Santi Cazorla has won over a multitude of new fans since he moved to the Premier League from La Liga’s Malaga three years ago. The diminutive midfield magician has played in a number of roles for Arsenal and I am sure that Arsene Wenger will ask him to do so again at times, but the boss does seem to have settled on the central midfield role as the best one for the Spaniard.

Cazorla himself appears to be very happy in his new position as well and perhaps that is because of the extra defensive strength and protection that the breakthrough of the brilliant Francis Coquelin has given him in the middle of the pitch.

The emergence and effectiveness of Cazorla in the central role has certainly coincided with Coquelin’s return from a loan spell last season and the Frenchman’s performances ever since. Those performances have proved the former fringe player to be one of the very best defensive midfielders in the Premier League and Europe, or that is what the stats say. Now Cazorla has added his own opinion to the stats and lavished praise on Coquelin.

Santi told the Arsenal website, “It’s amazing playing with him. He’s helped me a lot. He plays well, he defends well and I think he’s one of the best players in this position.

“We are lucky because he plays for Arsenal and I enjoy it a lot with him in this position.

“I feel better every game. The most important thing for me is always to help the team.

“I had an assist for Giroud and I had so many chances to score but the keeper made good saves.

“I feel good and I always want to help the team, that’s the most important thing for me.”

Is this the central midfield pairing that can finally steer Arsenal to the title?

WHat annoys me the most about Hafiz is he makes stupid comments and when people question it, he doesn’t even have the balls to back it up.

Because he is an IDIOT (am sorry to use the word). The guy can be annoying sometime, rushing to be the first to make comments and always ranting rubbish that most people here don’t like. I hope he’s just a joker and don’t really those thrashes.
Well, looking forward for tomorrow. Arsenal is part of me, whether in good time or bad one. I support the team and the boys (wishing them to do better).

Whats good for Arsenal is that our players are gaining more confidence in each other…Im sure Coq feels the same with Santi alongside him..

I don’t live in England but you can look online for reputable ticket vendors or actually call Arsenal’s box office and buy or ask them what’s the safest way

Coquelin – 4.4 tackles, 2.2 interceptions and 90.8% passing. pg
Captain Santi – 1.2 tackles, 2.6 interceptions, 91.6% passing, 4.6 key passes. pg
    Ozil – 1.3 tackles, 1 interception, 88.7% passing, 2 assists, 5 key passes. pg

Can’t think of any reason why these three would be excited to play with each other…

I really started to believe in that midfield second half of last season.
Coquelin’s seamless integration, Santi’s change to a position with more influence, and Ozil showing drastic improvement upon return.
This team is really clicking. It just needs to be more clinical. And it will.

Le Coq is the best what we’ve got right now for DM.

Wagner wants to show that by not buying adequate back up DM.

He still hoped arteta a good cover, what he didn’t realized, arteta is a soft mediocre tackler,

he is no pittbull edgar davids alike.

Let us all pray Le Coq won’t get any injuries for whole season.

PS: my le ‘COG’ still wants hot teen girl.

Arteta has seen 31 minutes of football in the league this season. He’s laid 6 tackles and 3 interceptions in that time. Who gives a sh!t how hard he tackles if he’s making that big of a defensive impact when he comes on?

Third in the pecking order. And rightly so. Arteta is a much smarter player than Flamini.

If we just want a player to come on and crunch players we have Flamini for that… Arteta reads the game exceptionally and a lot of his big time moments go under the radar. (2-1 up at Palace, they were through on goal and Arteta made the clean challenge..)
Arteta is a classy player. The kind that won’t play for a few weeks and come into the squad when needed and do his job. If we’re a goal up protecting a slender lead, a great player to have at the ready.

Arteta is ok as a sub for 20 mins max. But he is not good enough to last a full 90mins especially against a tougher opponent. Let’s just pray Coq does not get injured and Arteta is used when necessary.

I think if “Flame” held his positioning better, he would be a better sub for Le Coq than Mikel…
