Arsenal striker closing in on Arsenal’s biggest sale this transfer window

It looks like the biggest outgoing transfer from Arsenal this summer is nearly finalised as it has been revealed that Lucas Perez has already arrived in Turkey to discuss personal terms with the Istanbul giants Fenerbahce. His agent has already told the media that his client is more than willing to move to Turkey this summer.

“If Fenerbahce striker a deal with Arsenal, Lucas would be happy to wear the shirt,” Fernandez Lovelle told Turkish-Football.

“It all depends on Arsenal now but we could be happy to join Fenerbahce.”

There are also rumours that Rafael Benitez want Lucas at Newcastle but the move is unlikely as the Magpies are likely to be facing a relegation battle whereas the Spaniard is much more likely to win trophies in Turkey and will get some Champions League football as well.

Arsene Wenger must believe that the deal is close to completions as he revealed today in the pre-match conference ahead of the Community Shield on Sunday. “I don’t like to lose him…but we have main strikers and too much competition is no competition anymore,” he told reporters.

It is well known that Perez would prefer a move back to his hometown of La Coruña, but they will not meet Arsenal’s 15m euro asking price …

  1. Lets not discuss how Wenger “made a mistake in Perez”, its getting old.

At least now hes at a club where theyr competing for honours. He spend 1 useless year in Arsenal but he got an FA cup trophy. so fair play.

Good luck at fenerbache, where hell face stiffer competition playing with RVP. Perez, RVP, Emenike, Nani. Holy moly

  2. What a good striker , For me Wenger treated Lucas unfairly, Never gave him opportunities to play more games while he was capable to score goals compare to those he trusted them .

I wish him luck hope he can go back to his home club in future been a captain as they are all waiting for him. I will follow him all the way.

    1. Wenger treated him like trash and never gave him a chance to proove himself unlike people like welbeck and Ramsey who get chances all the time yet they barely produce.

  3. Wish Lucas Perez well. A wasted talent at Arsenal, who provided value for money every time he played. Wenger should have given him more opportunities, given his performances when played. Could have excelled in the No 10 role, when Ozil was off the boil!

  4. He is half decent at best. Lovely to hear all you sentimental fans bemoaning how unfairly he’d been treated but i bet he wasnt guaranteed a starting place when he signed. Lets take that 15 mil and reinvest it befoŕ the window closes.

  5. Why he couldn’t play much? I think something related to sponsorship!…Sanchez and Ozil play all the time even they not good

    1. Sometimes contract dictates who plays and for how long……….sad part of the business……if the manager wants you more………you get to more game time………crazy money in football………..sad but fascinating………
