Wenger sweating on Arsenal stars after Kante and Fellaini injuries

If the various Arsenal players out there on international duty for their respective national teams get through the next few days without picking up any injury problems and return to north London fit and ready to resume the Premier League title chase, then we will all be able to breathe a huge sigh of relief, but we are not there yet Gooners, and the next few days will be nervous ones for us and for Arsene Wenger.

We already knew about the possibility of our stars picking up a knock when off playing for their countries, as it has happened to us more than once in the past, but the events of the past few dfays has just brought into stark detail the problems that these international breaks can bring, without there being anything you can do about it.

Remember when Didier Deschamps played the only just fit again Abou Diaby against the advice and better wishes of Wenger? We lost him again to another long spell on the sidelines and it was immensely frustrating. This time there have been no problems for any Gunners, but two of our big EPL rivals, Chelsea and Man United, have seen key players injured.

United’s Fellaini went off after 23 minutes of the Belgium games yesterday and it suspected knee ligament damage that could rule him out for some time. Chelsea’s N’Golo Kante did his hamstring playing for France. These issues may just help Arsenal this season but we cannot yet rule out anything similar happening to one or more of our own.

Cross you fingers Arsenal fans….

  1. Unlike Manchester United and Chelsea, Arsenal have strength in depth and multiple world class players in each position. So we don’t need to sweat in injuries as there is a world class player for the same position waiting for an opportunity.

      1. He lost me a couple weeks back, am still stuck on the first one ..wow dejavu back in school.

  2. I don’t care if our rivals players are injured. Well, I care a bit because I am human and don’t pray for injuries to people but the Arsenal side of me just want our players to be fit after the Intl break.

    1. What’s the matter with 3 months off going back to their relative country’s for a holiday picking up £100,000 a week. Suits me.

    2. D’you think the Mancs,Sscouse’s and Spuds feel sorry for us with all the injuries we’ve had.

  3. It’s always good news when it’s not some of ours, now hopefully they’ll have to play players out of position, Id like to see that. Utd were missing two CM players on the last game, so if they’re still out it’ll be even better. And hopefully we’ll see D Blind back at CB at some stage, it’s funny seeing a miniature CB playing in a Mourinho team.

City away and Tott at home in Nov, then Dec our 1st game is Manu. We’ll know how tough this season is gonna be after we play them then Liv on CE.

    1. Problem is the other teams only play their players out of position when they have to.
Wenger does it for no reason that makes any sense – no sense to us, no sense even to ex-Arsenal players.
