It looks like the Arsenal transfer rumours hitting the football media this week about the Borussia Monchengladbach and Switzerland international midfield star Granit Xhaka may well have been based on fact rather than the speculative guesswork we see so often during a transfer window.
The player himself has been talking about a possible move to one of Europe’s big boys and with all the money in the Premier League these days and with the Gunners currently sitting right on top of the league you would have to say that Arsenal fit the bill.
However, the Daily Mail is also reporting that the talented 23-year old would not be happy to move to a big club if it meant him being just a squad player and sitting on the bench a lot.
Xhaka said, “Gladbach are a top club. But if I were someday to go to a top, top, top club, I want to play there.
“I’m not the type to be on the bench.”
With him being a central midfielder and with Arsenal having just signed one of those in Mohamed Elneny to add to the already strong squad options like Aaron Ramsey, Santi Cazorla and all, the Swiss star would have to be a pretty special talent to come to Arsenal and become a first team regular.
Unless of course, those worrying rumours about selling Ramsey to Barcelona are true. What do you think Gooners?

Theo Walcott has been at Arsenal for 10 years but he’s still inconsistent as ever,these overhyped injury prone english players who never become world class are a problem and it’s no wonder english clubs can’t compete in the uefa champions league!
Not sure if its going to happen as Wenger has been doing stuffs in his own way.Sant Cazorla,Nacho,Gabriel,Elneny and even Ozil were signed much to the suprise of many people as romours about them signing were not there or not that strong.
Well,Flamin,Rosicky and Arteta should leave space for new and flesh blood but knowing Wenger I wont be surprised if he adds one CM and promote some for the next season.
Anyways I don’t care that much who we sign as long as we end up our title drought and be CL serious contenders next season.

If wenger wants to push on and make a statement to rivals he needs to find a quality attacking option that improves on Walcott ox and Campbell … Don’t believe this is difficult but wenger couldn’t see the problem last summer and with 10 days to window closing don’t think he will do anything …. His self righteous arrogance is truly astounding and costly
This guy would be perfect competition for Coquelin, they’re nearly identical players. Highly doubt he’s possible to get in the winter window though.
