OFFICIAL Arsenal team and preview for crucial Crystal Palace trip

It is not quite win or bust for Arsenal at Selhurst Park tonight, but after Liverpool, Man City, Tottenham Chelsea and even the draw specialists Man United won at the weekend you would have to say that the Gunners really need all three points tonight.

Our opponents have just hit a rocky patch in their recent return to form and with a huge injury list their manager Sam Allardyce would surely be happy with anything from tonight´s game, but that also adds to the pressure on the Gunners to come out firing and carry on the improvement we have seen lately.

With all this in mind it appears that even more focus than usual will be on the creative, attacking and scoring side of Arsenal´s game, with the Eagles likely to sit back and soak up the pressure while hoping for a breakaway goal. With Arsene Wenger having to do without the first and second choice keepers as well as our best defender Laurent Koscielny, this probably suits Arsenal as well.

The home team´s forward options are okay, though, and in form and with Cabaye a surprise inclusion after major doubts on his fitness I think we need to be careful and not too gung ho this evening. and with Coquelin on the bench the central midfield of Xhaka and Elneny must be disciplined as well as effective.

    2. 2-0down haven’t heard of Ozil or Sanches. Can’t wait for the end of season and hope new faces will bring some glory. Let’s be honest it’s been a woefull season One now cant get excited that the weekend is here now. At least I have memories of the good times and of the good players. Today they will not be remembered by this generation. SAD CB

    This is a tricky game, what with Palace involved in the relegation mix up, they showed what they are capable of by beating Chelsea away recently, so they need to be respected yet forked over gently ??

  18. Does Walcott have any abilities besides randomly banging in a goal? That’s not good enough at a club like Arsenal. He’s been a complete passenger this whole game. Bellerin and Mustafi are disasters.

    I think Zaha alone had more touches than all 4 combined. And even then we had 75% possession. Something is structurally wrong with this team.

Side and back passes no urgency to get the ball forward, the team looks void of ideas, zero confidence, no leaders Walcott has been atrocious and Mustafi is a red card waiting to happen. All Wenger does is complain to the fourth official to make it look like he’s actually worth his 8 million a year!     1. No, Xhaka never looked designed in Germany. He was the most visible Player. Everybody in Germany was shocked that Arsenal bucht hin for 50€ Mio.
