Arsenal to go for transfer of contract rebel Lukaku?

It is only a matter of time before we start getting lots of Arsenal transfer rumours linking us with a summer transfer bid for Romelu Lukaku, after it was revealed by Sky Sports and other sporting websites that the Belgium international star has rejected the new contract that is being offered to him by his current club Everton, so I thought I would get in early and ask whether you Arsenal fans out there would like the Gunners to go for this powerful, prolific and Premier League proven striker?

First of all I would like to point out that the Lukaku situation is far from clear cut. Just a week or so ago there were reports declaring that he was about to sign and his agent had even suggested as much, so there may just be a little sticking point which will soon be resolved.

I personally think that the forward may be waiting to see if the Toffees qualify for either the Europa League or the Champions League next season. It may even be a question of whether Ronald Koeman is still going to be their manager next year, with Arsenal being one of the possible moves for the Dutchman, along with Barcelona.

But klet´s say the Belgian does not sign a new deal. That would tell me that he is looking for a move to a bigger club and the Gunners would fit the bill. We may be in dire need of some firepower as well if the rumours about Alexis Sanchez leaving are true.

Even if they aren´t we may want an upgrade on Olivier Giroud at the end of the season, so do you think that Lukaku is the right transfer target for Arsenal_ Which other forwards would you like us to go for?

Bob.

Arsene has turned up to work from an all night bender again

Arsene walks up to his office and turns to his pa

    Arsene: no calls please

PA: have you been drinking again?

Arsene: how dare you? I have dedicated 20 years of my life to this club you know

    PA: *clears her throat*

Arsene: fine. I haven’t been to sleep and i can feel my hangover already. I need a couple of hours sleep so if anyone comes just say I’m busy negotiating on Lukaku

    PA: *spits her tea out*

    Arsene: What?

PA: everyone knows you don’t sign strikers since you bought Giroud.

Arsene: that is not true! But whatever, just make sure no one wakes me up

Wenger is in deep sleep on the couch on his sofa

Wenger: nooooooooo………I ordered a Big Mac but this is a mcchicken sandwich

PA: *comes running in* everything ok?

Wenger: *jumps up* sorry, recurring nightmare

PA: *walks out* eat a home cooked meal once in a while you fool

Wenger drifts off again and is in a dream

Wenger: Giroud, why are you holding a jar with a fly in it?

A mist appears and a voice says ‘i am the spirit of success past’. Wenger looks around and sees Wilshire rolling around in the floor

Wenger: *with his arms stretched out wide* nooooooooo you are my talisman

A mist appears behind Wilshire and a voice says * i am the spirit of success past*

    Wenger: who is this?

    The mist thickens

Wenger: I’m not scared of you

Through the mist appears a hologram of Xhaka echoing ‘i am not a b2b……..a ,b2b………a b2b’

Wenger: **** was i drinking earlier?

Through the mist walks a man and says ‘i am the spirit of success past’

    Wenger: WTF!!!!Henry is that you?

Spirit: No. I am the spirit of success past. How you chose to visualise me is your choice

Wenger: Damn, son. Every time i turn around your murking

    Spirit: This is not Henry

    Wenger: Yes, it is.

Spirit: alright fine it is but i have been sent to show you your ways

Wenger: let me sleep, Fam. My head is banging

    Spirit: look up

    Wenger: *looks up*

Spirit: *points and a picture appears of Petit on the field*

    Wenger: and?

    Spirit: *points and Xhaka appears*

    Wenger: and?

Spirit: FFS! *Points and both illustrations start playing*

    Wenger: stop it just stop!

    Spirit: do you see now?

Wenger: yeah well I’m developing this squad…..

    Spirit:.You have no young players

Wenger: **** this. How do i wake myself up

    Spirit: you can’t

Wenger: Thierry, stop ****ing around. I took you from a winger and made you a striker

Spirit: **** off. I was already a striker. They played me on the wing when i was coming through.

Wenger: man’s got to get his props

Spirit: not anymore. Not when you think Giroud is a good striker. No one better than him on the market? Sign Lukaku!!!!!

    PA walks in

PA: quick Arsene, get up. Ivan is looking for you

Wenger: *jumps up* thank god. You saved me £60m!!!!!

Monaco team, Young, lot talent, guts, good football.let’s go and raid them starting from the caoch.MBAPPE/ Bakayoko/ mendy/ Silva. sidibbi but for wenger there is nobody better than the bunch he got in arsenal FC.

Arsene can sadly no longer make a prolific squad either from young players or from good players costing a lot of money as this season proves again. And Leicester, AGAIN, show that if you sack the manager it can be good for you. We need change. I understand people are greatful for what Arsene did for us in his early days, but we now need a fresh head to move forward.

      Tearing City apart?
      The score was 6-6 🙂
      Whats with “away” goals anyway?
That game at 6-6 should have gone to penalties.

      1. ThirdManJW

“Away goals” encourage attacking football, which I think is a positive thing. I wonder what odds for Leicester going the furthest out of all the English teams. I should have bet!

        1. marty53

Not sure if away goals rule does encourage attacking football, all it means is that if the away team nick a goal early on they just defend for the rest of the game….

      2. Jokema

Can Arsenal score 3 away goals at Etihad, look at the first two goals Man City was torn apart like paper.
That team can hit the current Arsenal team 6 nill

    1. HA559

Bayern succumb to pressure as well. Out of the top 4 in Europe they are the weakest mentally. Either they thrash Leicester or they collapse and lose by a solitary goal or something.

  7. HA559

Let me give you a head start if you’re predicting the draw on Friday. Barcelona, Bayern and Real won’t be playing each other in the quarter final. They’ve avoided each other at that stage for 6 straight seasons (money talks). The draw for these stages are done inhouse Nyon, easier to fix.

That guy Henry winter journalist is right up Guardiola’s back side. Earlier in the season he says we need Guardiola in this league when CIty were struggling. Now he is saying give him time. In other words this guy wont criticisize Guardiola.

  9. HA559

I can see Leicester beating everyone but the big three Spanish teams. Mostly because the others may crack under pressure from the occasion. Same as Sevilla the other day.

  10. Arsenal_Girl

When Monaco beat us in CL, I was hoping that Wenger would at least sign Kondogbia from them. He didn’t even try

When we finished second to Leicester, I was hoping that Wenger would try to sign Kante from them. He didn’t even try.

I am so fed up with Wenger.
He is so clueless and stubborn in his ways

Problem with this article is that Lucaku is looking for a club whose ambition matches his own. Enough said.
