Today’s Arsenal transfer rumour comes at a time when Arsene Wenger is yet again under attack for not spending any of the millions available to improve the team.
The Gunners are being linked with Diego Perotti, an Argentinian winger that is currently playing at Sevilla.
He only made his first team debut nine months ago, but is being tipped as a future superstar already.
He has now played 30 games for the Spanish giants and his buy out clause has just risen to a massive 30m euros, and with Real Madrid and Man City also rumoured to be very keen on the youngster, there is little chance of Wenger buying him on the cheap.
Perotti himself doesn’t sound like he wants to move on anyway. He said yesterday: “This team has given me everything,”
“My future is in the hands of the club. I feel very comfortable here and I want to succeed.”
Sevilla bought him for just £150,000 from Argentina 18 months ago, so the massive profit margin may persuade Sevilla to sell to the highest bidder, but i really can’t see Wenger spending 30m euros on anybody at all, no matter how good they are!
