Arsenal transfer rumour round-up – Bacca, Mitroglou, Renato, Isco & Morata latest

As much as our season is not quite over yet, our assault on the Premier League title looks likely to be, so we thought we’d look towards the upcoming summer’s possible activity.

Carlos Bacca is believed to be high on our wishlist, and now reports are claiming we are trying to push through a move with his club AC Milan set to miss out on Champions League football.

One of the most bizarre links for us in recent months is the claim that we are eyeing a move for previous Premiership failure Kostas Mitroglou, who has impressed since joining Benfica on a temporary deal.

A third striker that we are linked with is now said to be unlikely to leave his club, with Juventus claimed to be ready to pay Real Madrid in order to cancel their buy-back clause for Alvaro Morata. The same story also says that Juventus are hoping to do more business with the Spanish giants, with Alarcan Isco high on their wishlist, which is also believed to be a blow to our club’s transfer plans.

The last piece of speculation we are bringing you is that we are keeping tabs on Renato Sanches, who is also under the watchful of Manchester United. The report doesn’t mention any claims of supposed offers or talks, but it does add us to a long list of admirers for the 18 year-old.

It is no surprise to see a number of strikers being watched by our club, but can you see any truth in the reports? I would like to see Bacca given a chance to shine at the Emirates, but would definitely rather Morata…

  1. We have to sign a striker, it’s as simple as that. If he dares go another season without a new striker, well it’s unimaginable. He’s finally come round to the idea of more strength and athleticism in CM, took long enough but he has come round some what. Striker position he must have come to a similar realisation by now. I certainly hope so, even if we don’t get any of our three top choices, I think he has to find someone.

    1. those strikers above are not arsenal materlial

bacca= has the same goals n assist combined as giroud in the same amount of games. giroud is the better passer and link up play.

mitroglu= failed in the prem. he is on a simlar level to emineke at west ham who is arguably their 3rd choice

we should be looking at the a or b list strikers
a list= cavani, ibra, higuin, greizmann
      b list= , hernandez, lacazette, morata

    1. how about replacement for gibbs if he is going.

25yo ghoulam (napoli) would be excellent at 25 he would be at his peak by the time monreal is on the decline. wenger has been watching him for a while aswell

20yo gaya (valencia) the main long term threat for alba`s space in the national starting eleven. he is also great freinds with bellerin who named him in the best 11 he has played with. so bellerin even rates him higher than monreal

21yo digne (psg) he is 3rd choice at the moment but still a very good player

  2. a lot of arsenal fan are calling for Wenger head but.you are the same one who think bellerin coquelin monreal is good enough to start for arsenal an i’m not even going to mention the english core.all along some off us could see how much the team lack ability.an that we think they good players because they play for our team.I’m going to say this we need cf rw dm cb at least to make top four this coming season if not we can kiss top four goodbye.

  3. I’m Not sure about who Wenger wants to spend money on!
But I know that he will be drafting in at least 3 youngsters into the first team, next season.
Aswell as having a car boot sale auction for the following players:
    Gibbs
    Walcott
    Ox
    Chambers
Ramsey ( if the price is right)

Rumour has it that he wants to rebuild his English core!
No surprises that he wants to keep the most injury prone player of the lot…. J.Wheelchair! ?

    1. Arsenal are ready to sell the majority of their British players this summer, according to reports.

The Daily Mail claim Aaron Ramsey, Theo Walcott, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Kieran Gibbs, Calum Chambers and Carl Jenkinson could all be on their way out of the Emirates.

      1. it wont be that severe as we need the home grown quota
szezney, ramsey, chambers, welbeck, jenkinson(is injured till october),ox,wilshire will STAY

        out
        WALCOTT expensive>productive
GIBBS at his age needs first team at a lower team to become better (sturridge, bertrand, glen johnson are some examples)

    2. I doubt we sell a lot of our British core. It is the homegrown count that is important. My guess is that Theo will be sold and maybe 1 more (ox, gibbs, Ramsey, jenkinson). With that additional money we can purchase Lukaku who is homegrown as well.

We will not buy a RW as we have loads of options on the Right and a bit less on the left. I would like to see Xhaka come in and also include Toral & Hayden in our first team.

CB like Howedes would be perfect, a leader who adds maturity to our defense.

We also need young LB and RB

      1. if were keeping gibbs it would be nice to add a young English left back such as rico henry (walsall) or ben chillwell (Leicester)

  4. Carlos Bacca. League apperances 30, gooals 14. Turning 30 in September of this year. Don’t we have olivier Giroud?
