Arsenal transfer woe increases as Chelsea sign Mahrez

As if the summer transfer window had not already been bad enough for Arsenal fans, with Arsene Wenger seemingly unaware that there was any need for him to add any good players to the Arsenal squad, while just about every other club in the Premier League was doing good business.

They seemed especially true of the big clubs looking to win the EPL title this season, with Manchester United, Liverpool, Chelsea and Man City all spending well over £100 million on players. The only thing the Arsenal fans had left to hope for was that most of their business was done and that Wenger had a few deadline day signings up his sleeve.

So it was with dismay that I read the Metro report which gave us even more bad news on the transfer front. They are saying that it is not Arsenal but Chelsea that are the club set to finalise the transfer of Riyad Mahrez from Leicester City, with earlier reports telling us he had been released from the Algerian national team’s training and was heading to London.

Can anything else possibly go wrong for us long suffering Arsenal fans? Actually do not answer that because the answer is yes and with the way things are going they probably will.

  1. Wats is ambition?
Swansea signing Bayern star CM Renato Sanchez
West bro signing Psg star CM Krychowiach
Chelsea signing Riyadh Mahrez(as if hazard alone wasn’t hard enough to handle)
    Liverpool signing OX

    And Arsenal?? Yuckkk

    1. Renato Sanchez is an over rated player

      Krychowiach is a bench warmer

No big 10 clubs in Europe are after these 2 players

  2. Cmon ARSENAL, maybe one signing maybe just one INSPIRATIONAL signing is all that could change our team…..just one signing to at least turn it the depression in our club ….

    1. I remember Barca was going down quite bad, but one INSPIRATIONAL Ronaldhino signing changed the fate of the club….

      1. That was Barca….. Even if we sign the best player in the world, nothing will change….
Anyways we are not signing anyone

      2. In our case i think the only move that can get that strenght, being INSPITARIONAL is in the other way, not sigining but firing someone

  3. My design, that will hopefully make an appearance somewhere at some point.

  4. Chelsea are not signing mahrez. don’t know where you got that from. maybe kev I guess. sky sports just confirmed that neither Chelsea nor arsenal have made contact with Leicester over mahrez at the moment. his potential new club is still a mystery. stop the fake updates kev. it is not funny.

  5. I’m sick as a dog so so sad!
Ox going, and Gabriel and maybe Mustafi?
Ox has gone so we could do with a wide player with strength and great engine, oh Spurs have just signed.
Spurs sign Lorente and are now trying to pinch Sanchez of bayern from swanseas grasp.

Obvious Chelsea were going to sign Mahrez, they miss out on Ox so BOOM just like that Mahrez is signed instead.
You guarante that when you see the Sky Reporter at our ground later there will be nothing to see other than the odd bit of tumble weed and wenger crying in the corner.

I need to find a way to wipe Arsenal from my mind with the hypnosis wake up words being ‘Kroenkes Gone!’ and your’e awake.

I do blame Wenger but Kroenke and his other busineses are the devil in this.
If I was Arsene I’d throw the keys to Emirates at Kroenke and ‘You manage the f**king club’

Thinking back sadly on the good times Arsene gave us I think to myself walk away Arsene walk away, at your age and with this lack of support from up top 3 games in do you really need this sh*t anymore?!

  6. Hilarious thing is I’d be delighted if we signed Draxler totally out of the blue but what is he again? A technical fast footballer who seems quite passive in mind and built like a whippet.

We should be shopping in the French league I’ve seen many monster MF generals with names I’ve never heard of in unpopular sides, but they could play, head and defintely tackle!
Wheres our scouts then? I suppose if we are not spending theyve been sent home on unpaid leave 🙁

What a mess our clubs in………….:-(

    1. Couldn’t agree more.

So many players in the French league, Germany and Spain too but for some reason our scouts are clueless or Arsene turns down most of there offers.

I would be happy if we signed Draxler only because I am so desperate for a signing now. Drax would have made sense if we kept Sanchez and Ox as well. As it stands we may need Draxler and Lemar or Draxler and Mahrez / plus a CM or DM.

      Day dreaming I know.

  7. Wenger can be blamed for the performances on the pitch

but finances, contract, player signings are Dick Law and Gazidis job

  8. Instead of everyone been out here typing stuff I wonder what the UK Arsenal fans are doing.

I am now fully convinced Wenger has some kind of vendetta against Arsenal fans. If I didn’t know better I would say:

    – Wenger supports Man U
    – Ivan – Man City
    – Stupid Stan – Lpool

    – Non of our current players are true supporters of Arsenal either, its just work for them which there well paid even after underperforming. Non of this crop will make it to be a legend. Just look how Ox spit on Wenger and us; a Barca reject holding us to ransom; a Madrid throw away our biggest star; Chelsea retirery our first choice GK; and so many deadwood players who wouldn’t make Everton first 11.

    How the mighty has fallen.

  9. What a ridiculous rumor. Chelsea don’t need Mahrez. They have Pedro and Willian, with a couple of decent backups. As for Arsenal, we still have Sanchez, Welbeck, and Walcott. If one or more of the above 3 are sold, then I see us moving for Mahrez, although I don’t think Arsene rates him very highly. Here’s my personal take on it. I’m a HUGE Ozil fan. But if I admit that he’s more of a luxury type player, and needs to be surrounded by other quality players to bring the best out of him. Mahrez, for me, falls into the same category. And I just don’t see Wenger getting another one of these “luxury” players who sometimes won’t bother track back and defend. Same goes for Draxler. I just don’t see it happening.

  10. They say a good solder knows when to retreat but not with the so called Wenger and my believe is they must be something that he has for the club the we as supporters don’t know hence the directors are shit scared to reprimand him for the obvious things. Same story year in year out
