Arsenal US tour squad looking good with new signings and Cazorla IN

Arsenal will head off to the United States on Monday after drawing the first pre-season game against the French club Lens, thanks to a sublime chipped equaliser from Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain. There the Gunners will play two more matches against an MLS all-star side including the likes of Didier Drogba and David Villa before the second against Mexican side Chivas De Guadalajara. Arsenal are favourites for both these games and if our Swedish readers fancy a bet they should use this comeon bonuskod to get a 100 kronor bonus to bet with!

With Arsenal facing a difficult opening to the new Premier League campaign with Liverpool followed by the champions Leicester City in our first two games, along with the probable absence of key players like Mesut Ozil, Koscielny and Giroud, Arsene Wenger knows that his pre-season preparations are hugely important.

So the boss and us Arsenal fans are happy to welcome some big names into the Arsenal squad that is heading off to America, including the two summer signings Granit Xhaka and Rob Holding. The two new faces should give the squad a lift and so should the return of our Spanish midfield magician Santi Cazorla.

Also included in the squad reported by The Mirror are the two main keepers Petr Cech and David Ospina, the brilliant young Spanish right back Hector Bellerin and the mercurial Jack Wilshere, who returned to training early after Euro 2016 and who looks determined to put his awful run of injury problems behind him.

Here’s the full squad for the USA tour;

Goalkeepers: Petr Cech, David Ospina, Emi Martinez.

Defenders: Hector Bellerin, Calum Chambers, Mathieu Debuchy, Gabriel, Kieran Gibbs, Per Mertesacker, Nacho Monreal, Krystian Bielik, Rob Holding.

Midfielders: Santi Cazorla, Francis Coquelin, Mohamed Elneny , Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Jeff Reine-Adelaide, Chris Willock, Jack Wilshere, Granit Xhaka, Gedion Zelalem.

Forwards: Theo Walcott, Alex Iwobi, Chuba Akpom, Joel Campbell.

The only place we look a bit light to me is up front without Alexis Sanchez and Giroud, but once everyone is back, how do you think the squad shapes up?

    GK: Looks excellent

LB: Looks fine with Monreal and Gibbs

Our central Midfield positions ie CAM/B2b/DM looks pretty good. I think we may be overstocked:

We still have OZIL and RAMSEY to return
    So Midfield looks good

We have several CB (Mert, Gabs, Chambs, Holding) but we need 1 more Top CB before Koscielny comes back.

RB: We need to strengthen back ups as Debuchy is a ? and Chambers should concentrate on CB/DM

Backups look fine with Joel, Iwobi, Theo AND OX (can play winger or CM)
We need two more Top forwards to join Alexis
    A striker and winger

If I were manager I would sell Theo, Debuchy and Sanogo
Send Akpom, Zelalem, Adelaide, Bieilk, Wilock on loan to improve
    1. quality CB (Kouliby, Murillo, Howedes, Godin, Van Dijk, Stones, Reid, Hummels, etc)
2/3. quality winger and striker (Mahrez, Draxler, Turan, Reus, Rodriguez, Lacazette, Lewandowski, Aubemeyang, Greizmann)
    4. backup RB

Our New Full Squad should be:
GOALKEEPERS: Petr Cech, David Ospina, Emi Martinez.
DEFENDERS: NEW CB, NEW BACKUP RB, Koscielney, Hector Bellerin, Calum Chambers, Gabriel, Kieran Gibbs, Per Mertesacker, Nacho Monreal, (Jenkinson?)
MIDFIELDERS: Ozil, Santi Cazorla, Francis Coquelin, Mohamed Elneny , Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Jack Wilshere, Granit Xhaka, Ramsey
FORWARDS: NEW STRIKER, NEW WINGER, Alexis, Giroud, OX, Alex Iwobi, Joel Campbell.

Not sure if you will ever be given a chance by Arsenal board :p
Jokes apart, I differ a bit, send Chambers out too if we get a top CB, Monreal can cover CB. We wont need a new winger but someone young is fine, a striker is a must
