Arsenal vs Tottenham preview, predicted line up and score line. by KJ
This is the match we wait for every season – Tottenham at home. It’s a brilliant game for the neutral but is even more special to the fans. The atmosphere is rocking, all the failures during the season are put behind us and we are treated to one of the most exciting games this season will bring us.
Both teams are on a terrible run and will look at this game to turn their fortunes right around. It will be a tight game but it always is exciting at the Emirates. I guess both teams want the win so much that it makes for a very open affair.
Expect Tottenham to do same this time round and this should free us up a bit. Arteta has been man marked in recent games and I can’t see AVB doing the same this match. He’ll probably want his attacking mid to get involved in the game. Walcott’s pace will be key as there will be acres of space for him to run into. Giroud is finally getting the crosses he deserves and is putting them away with ease. More of the same and I can’t see why he can’t be a goal a game striker. He’s also good with his feet and hence will still be a threat in and around the box.
My predicted line-up:
Sagna – Mertesacker – Koscielny – Vermaelen
Walcott – Cazorla – Chamberlain
It’s pretty much your standard line-up with almost all players confirmed to be fit for the game (aside from long term injuries to Gibbs, Diaby and Rosicky).
The one surprise is Chamberlain instead of Podolski. I haven’t really been impressed with the German over the last month. He’s been very off his game and doesn’t really contribute much to the attack. The likes of Chamberlain’s refreshing dribbling will really force Tottenham into their shells at points in the game giving us the upper hand. Also, his and Walcott’s pace on the counter attack will almost guarantee us a goal from the wing.
I predict it to be a very exciting 3-2 win to the Arsenal.
