Do Arsenal want Tottenham in FA cup? Not yet

There has been a lot of debate among the Arsenal faithful over the last few weeks about what the FA cup might mean to us and whether it would be enough to calm down the fans that have had to yet again see our team get nowhere near the Premier League title or the Champions League trophy.

While I would have to say it is a poor substitute for either of those bits of silverware, I would still much rather we won it than not and I have to say that I think Arsenal fans have become a bit blase about the competition, perhaps because we have won it twice in the last few years and a record six times under one manager Arsene Wenger.

What would make winning the FA cup this season extra special though, and might even make us see the season in general as a good one, is if we beat our north London rivals Tottenham to lift it. For me that would be the perfect way for Arsenal to finish the season and it is the final I want.

Having said that I would rather not be drawn against the spuds in the next round, especially after seeing them hammer Milwall today to make the semis. While I would feel pretty confident of Arsenal winning a north London final I am not so sure about the semis.

Can Arsenal win a record breaking 13th (and 7 for Wenger) FA cup this season? Who do you guys want in the semi?

Bob.

  1. Yup, An a FA cup is the best that a 4th rate club can ask for.
Oh and as for our neighbours? Our shadow is getting lighter and lighter with each passing year. Trust me, Both semifinals will be Derby’s this year.? anyone remember the last time we met the spuds in the FA cup semi’s? A certain fat boy? Gazza with his long range free kick that seamen helped push it into the top corner. ??

  2. OT:
Football is a simple, attractive and an interesting game, played and watched by millions.
AFC looks so classy and stylish when Ozil is having a good game. Everything goes through him! He bosses the area in front of the box. The style and technique look very impressive – not an easy thing to achieve.
AFC looks clueless and dull when Ozil not playing or having a bad game.
    Just my personal observation…

  3. Preston, Southampton under 18’s, Sutton, Lincoln…easiest road to Wembley I’ve ever seen
