Arsenal will not slip up again says Arteta

The second half of the FA cup tie between Arsenal and Swansea City was a bit like a rollercoaster and was not good for the health of Arsenal fans watching, but it has given the Gunners a wake up call, according to the vice-captain Mikel Arteta. When Michu scored, Arsenal went into panic mode for a few minutes and could have gone two down.

The fightback from the players was fantastic, and they now seem to realise that this is the best chance to end the long seven year wait for a trophy that is starting to act like a millstone round our necks. Rather than see it as an extra game that we didn’t really want to play, Arteta sees it as golden opportunity to bring some happiness to the fans.

“It’s a great chance to win a trophy. We don’t want to miss it.

“We kept going and showed a lot of character to get back into the game, score, and go ahead. But then we conceded a sloppy one again.

“We deserved to win the game and that’s why we’re disappointed.”

They say you learn more from tough games than easy ones, and Arsenal will have learnt a lot yesterday. The good thing is, that the players have a chance to put it right. We didn’t drop any points and we didn’t go out of the competition. We WILL beat Swansea in the replay next week.

Sao Paulo vice- president Joao Paulo de Jesus Lopes: I believe we’ll reach an agreement with Arsenal We have heard from Denilson that he doesn’t want to return to England, that he wants to stay here with us please take him

Le10Sport are today reporting that Younes Belhanda, long linked with a move to Arsenal, has agreed terms with Turkish side Fenerbache.

To bad he would have been a great arsenal player.

Great confidence and hope hes right as i dont think i could take another swa sucker punch.

Like the sound of this new Belgain defender we are supposedly interested in. If that Belgain team had a few top strikers they would have one incredible squad.

Would have liked some new recruits before the manc game, hope its not much longer as i hate the last hours minutes seconds might or might not crap which is truly headrecking.

arsene wenger if u are looking at average players then dont sign anyone . if u sign then only world class players should come in. defensive mid field and a striker is very important.

They have saved the greatest honor for Gervinho after he narrowly beat out Sebastian Squillaci for it.

Congrats to Gervinho for winning the Ballon De Merde!!!!

Arteta himself was part of that sloppy defending,he should have blocked that shot.He needs to stop talking and just concentrate on protecting our goal.Wenger needs to bring in a DM to take this guys spot.
The squads so weak that the captains on the subs bench and the vice captain should be on the bench too.ridiculous

@ Leo I have seen Ronaldo play week in week out of the harder faster EPL I would like to see messi challenge himself and go to the EPL. I have seen messi lose to teams as well… Like ARSENAL!!!!!

i dont understand why did wenger bring squillaci, santos,
gervinho, denilson, park, fabianski ,etc. it would have been better to give chances to academy players than these useless players.

    Really 5-0?

No game in the premier league is easy, espcially away games, come on dude, the premier league of today, is not like 10yrs ago where the gulf in class between top and bottom was huge.

    @john 3 16

No way we can expect 4 wins and a draw from our next 5 league games. City at home is difficult for obvious reasons, chelsea will have had a week off before they play us, so will be refreshed, whereas we will have played midweek in our swansea replay.

I’d take 10/11 pts and getting through to the next round, right now if someone offered it to me.

Messi doesn’t have to do it in any other league,he plays in the best league in the world, and he is the all time top scorer in the CL,the true test of any club team. All he needs to do is win the World Cup,then his place amongst the greats can be made even b4 he retires

Dear Arteta, we have heard that before.
    We are not duped anymore.

We are going to slip up because we do not have the squad to cope with the amount of games coming our way.
    3 games in one week!!
Wenger still waiting ( as well as Gazidis ) to bring new reinforcements!!! You wonder what is the hick up?

Anyway, it is not like we are going to win the CL or the FA Cup.
And we are no where near beautiful in the league.

Another trophy less … Well same old Arsenal, nothing new on that front.

Uuuummmmm I don’t see a SINGLE quote with Arteta saying ” we will nnot slip up”.. Stop making sh** up plz.

Oh and Fu** Lionel Messi. Ballond’or is rigged. Christiano Ronaldo Dos Santos Aveiro is the best player in world. If not him then Iniesta or Iker Cassilas.

When Ronaldo scored more goals then Messi, they sed Messi had won the trophies so he deserved it more. But now that Ronaldo won the league and scored over 60 goals he still doesn’t get it? Cmon man. Sumtin needs to b done up there in europe. Coming from africa this is not good advertisement for ur different FA’s.

Not with Ramsey in our team its 11 against 10 with him in and even less if others don’t pull their weight, and lets not get into the lack of quality or options on the bench.

Poor team, poor manager, poor Board its going to take years to put this mess right if in my lifetime, AW should have gone 5/6 years ago and its only because the Board and owner are happy to be profitable without being successful that AW is still here, What top top team would put up with a dreamer who doesn’t deliver

Rosicky for arteta is the answer if we want to dominate the midfield we would carzola wilsher and rosicky…. Even qouqulin should play ahead of arteta he I really good player, I like to see arteta dropped for one of them, diaby shouldn’t play regularly coz he can’t stay fit so we should bring him on in the second half this year

    Wrong fact…

Thierry Henry never won the ballon d’or ( which is a disgrace, especially when you have players like Michael Owen who did… Non sense !!! )

In 2003, Henry came second to Pavel Nedved.

Instead of having players like Bendtner, Denilson, Squliaci, Diaby, Fabianski, Arshavin, Santos, Djourou, Chamakh & Ramsey.

Just buy few top quality players.
Decent Keeper, Leighton Baines, M’Vila, Villa/Lewandowski/Cavani

Quantity not quality please Mr Wenger.
I’d replace those 10 players with those 3/4 players and the wage outgoings would be less and would make a hell of an impact on the team and squad morale.

Lionel Messi is the best player in the world, and has been for quite sometime now.Ronaldo,Xavi, and Iniesta are great but it`s just unfortunate that Messi is still around and will set records that might never be broken because he is that good.Unless he is injured,he is winning it for the 5th time in a row next year.I like CR7 a lot because of his work rate and commitment but Messi is just magical
