Arsenal’s DOUBLE Premier League title boost

I almost made the title of this post Arsenal’s treble Premier League title boost but the third thing would have been that Arsenal are playing well, apart from a few rogue games and results, and that surely has to be the case if the Gunners are to end the season on top of the table and lift the big trophy next May.

I still believe that we are right in the race despite the recent setbacks of losing to West Brom and only managing to scrape a draw against the Spuds at home. But what has given my belief in Arsenal winning the title a boost is the way that our big rivals have been doing.

For the umpteenth time since Louis van Gaal took over at Old Trafford, Manchester United looked truly dreadful in their midweek Champions League game and despite the fact that they are currently above us in the table, I just cannot imagine that a team this dull and devoid of quality could win the league.

Then we go to Man City where they have attacking talent in abundance and the most strength in depth throughout the squad. Once again they came up short, although to be fair to them an away game against Juventus is a tough prospect. The thing with City, in my opinion, is that they are just so inconsistent and I do nopt feel that they have the same team spirit and ability to bounce back from a bad game as we do.

I really believe that the title is ours to lose this season. What about you guys?

  1. I thought this Article was going to be about injured player’s returning? ?

Have you not heard about Sanchez’s hamstring worries?
Yet, wenger is still contemplating on whether to play him against Norwich.

Campbell also has a slight leg injury.

      1. You would think that Wenger would buy Alexis a ticket to Dubai and force him onto the plane. I know Arsene is monitoring the situation, but it’s starting to feel that something might give.

  2. Gerrard and Drogba will be available in January ?
now theres a bargain that will have Wenger licking his lips!
    KFC style ??

  3. This article’s title is not misleading, but well in place if I must say. And no disrespect to any Gooner’s opinion on it. Bob, let the Gunners not take winning the treble for granted and start to underate the resolve of their main title rivals who are still in the 3 titles race. To avoid another setback in their BPL title charge, it is pertinent the Gunners collect all the 3 points from the Canaries which are going to be at stake at Carrow Road on Sunday afternoon. If I may add, the Gunners SHOULD not underate the Canaries to get a least a draw or a win in this BPL encouter as they’ve not won a BPL match in their last 8 outings. Therefore, d Gunners shldn’t take beating d Canaries for granted & thereby become careless in their game like they were in d WBA game, when they threw away a point in the closing stage of d game. Ahead of their UCL game to Olympiacos, a good win over Norwich City will serve as a confidence booster.

  4. Please my beloved Arsenal, let’s not get carried away. The Manchester teams will have bad games and result like we do but let’s not simply rule them out and feel we’ll win it. I think Manc are still the favourite and I love to tag them as the favourite. I love to be the ‘underdog’ in the title race. We can nick it and win the league but we still have Manc and Manu in the mix. Let our players just be focus and fans shouldn’t be carried away. One love Arsenal!

  5. I said this a couple of times already, but I’ll say it again.
I wouldn’t talk title challenge before January, really. I’ve glanced at the modern premier league history and found out that the maximum of defeats for a champion is six.
So if Arsenal loses one more game and draws a winnable one before January, they’re out of the race. No doubt. Because second half of the season presents us beautiful away fixtures against manure, spuds, Liverpool, mancity, everton and a home game against chelski. I can see at least two defeats here. That sums it up to five. One defeat away from the max number of allowed defeats, that is if they don’t lose a home game against mancity or an away game against Southampton.
So I’d prefer to stay rather quiet about the title race.
