As if Arsenal could sign a quality player like Thomas Muller!

Arsenal in for Muller??? neil@activemusic

So we know that the media write all sorts of nonsense in order to sell newspapers and consequently generate advertising revenue but its more than likely fed to them by press departments within clubs. For example this morning we read Kylian Mbappe allegedly said he seriously considered a future at Arsenal…hahaha!!!

The other one, and this really made me smile, is that Arsenal are expressing an interest in Thomas Muller….you know that lad who is possibly one of the most prolific Champions league strikers of all time. I mean, come on, whether the newspaper decided to go out on a limb or our press office decided to feed it amounts to the same thing that rhymes with ‘butter chollox’.

However what it inadvertently highlights is how globally unattractive the prospect of playing for the Gunners has become. Only the most deluded fan would assume this story has traction. We have no chance of signing players of Muller’s callibre. No chance.

There are four teams top players might consider in the EPL and sadly we are no longer in that group which now means several things.

1. The board can make all kinds of offers to make them appear ambitious in the transfer market because they have zero chance of a player accepting a move to the emirates.
2. We have to bring younger players through because Wenger will wheel out his stock ‘we are only interested in signing quality’ excuse.
3. We will seriously struggle to make top four based purely on the fact we dont have the quality.

I know we all keep typing the same outcome of what we want to happen but there’s a point to doing so: the media and our press department are colluding to sell the lie that we are still ambitious. We are not and on that basis change has to be made now.

Please boycott games, don’t buy merchandise, join social media fan groups and spread your discontent.

  1. So we know that the media write all sorts of

.blah blah blah…so stop reading them…its annoying already…good day me fellow gunnerz

  2. Agreed. We wont be able to buy the players we need to get back into the top four cos we look like a sinking ship to anyone outaide the Arsenal boardroom..

    1. Neither could Man City after 200 million pounds on full backs. It’s becoming very annoying here reading all these negative comments. Is it not such a sad life whining every minute of one’s life against a football club one claims to support?

      1. Is there anything worth supporting anymore? Sure when Arsenal v any other team i’ll get behind the team other than that is there anything else worth supporting anymore? Every year its the same B.S. “Arsenal are only 1 or 2 players away from winning the league” and we don’t buy them when we have the money, half of these players who we want to support don’t want to play for the shirt after Wenger signed his extension, even if we forget about the leeches in the board and get behind our manager he’s clueless and hasn’t changed one bit. What do you want me to get excited about? that Thursday night europa thingy? 2 more years of wenger? 2 more years of this AKB and WOB civil war among fans?

  3. dont boycott..it simply doesnt work,

you cannot get 40, 30, 20, 10 or even 5 thousand arsenal fans to just agree on not turning up.
If you have a season ticket, go to the game and get involved in the protests before/after games.

if you are buying a ticket, go to the home game and protest. there will be people handing out free posters [some of mine;} and other such protest material for you to use and display your discontentment with the regime.

staying away or eve worse not getting involved in the protests is the worst thing you can do for this club right now.

So dont let misplaced loyalty to wenger, fear or the idea that this somehow damages the team deter you. Arsenal will go on without wenger and Kroenke and if things are too change it has to happen NOW. No-one will do it on your behalf!

    get involved..

google ‘Chris Butler Justgiving 2’ and look in the OnlineGooner Forum> On the Terraces> Wenger Out protest , for developments.

    1. I actually think fans inside the stadium need to disrupt a game, which will make a really strong statement. I cannot remember exactly, but I think it was Charlton, or Coventry fans a few years back, who stopped a game by throwing inflatable beach balls onto the pitch, because of how their clubs were being run. I think we should do the same. Obviously do not throw anything that could harm anyone, but beach balls, or foam balls, would be a great idea.

        1. That sounds great. I really I hope to get down to London at some point this season for a game, so I can also protest. We must save Arsenal before it’s too late.

  4. Another piece of lazy journalism, just linking us to every top class player. Of course we would be “interested ” in signing him, so would most clubs, but it ain’t gonna happen…
