Aubameyang urged to join Arsenal!

Former Teammate backs Aubameyang to join the Gunners!

The Borussia Dortmund striker Pierre Emrick Aubameyang has become arguably the club’s main man since joining from St Etienne a few seasons back, and now the Gabon international is reportedly looking to move away from Germany. Real Madrid is supposedly the most likely destination for the frontman and they will unsurprisingly probably be the striker’s preferred choice. However Aubameyang also has plenty of interest from the Premier League, a competitive league which is sure to interest him.

Aubameyang was supposedly left out of international team duties recently due to his situation at Dortmund regarding a possible transfer, and now one of his former teammates has been speaking to the media about a future move that Aubameyang may soon make. Daniel Cousin is a former international teammate of Aubameyang and keeps in close contact with his fellow countryman, so when Cousin spoke to the media about Aubameyang’s situation, it was sure to raise a few eyebrows.

Cousin stated: “I think he wants to move to England. The Premier League is a different style to Germany; it’s more physical and, for me, it’s a good moment for Pierre to move to a big club like Man United or Man City. Yes [he would be a success]. I think he can score more goals and get more experience with a big team. With Mourinho at Man United, and Guardiola [at City], I think this kind of coach can help Pierre-Emerick to progress.”

From the current quotes it doesn’t seem too promising for the Gunners, who Cousin did not mention regarding the clubs that could take Aubameyang’s signature this summer. However when asked which team would suit Aubameyang the most, Cousin was quick to mention the Gunners! He stated: “Arsenal! The team plays very well and Arsenal needs a striker to win the title next season. I think if he plays with Ozil… I think he can play very well with them.”

The idea of Ozil feeding Aubameyang with the strength, pace and power the 26 year old holds in front of goal, is a truly amazing thought which is sure to scare a few defences next season, but that is only if it ends up being true. Aubameyang is sure to interest a few Premier League clubs and I’d expect all of the generic top six to at least believe they have a shot at signing one of the best strikers in Europe right now. However Arsenal have one main advantage over their rivals in the Premier League, when it comes to trying to get Aubameyang to sign on the dotted line.

Arsenal not only have Champions League football again next season, unlike Manchester United and Chelsea who will surely be interested if he becomes available for transfer, but Arsenal are also the only team in the Champions League places crying out for a striker. Manchester City already have Aguero and so are unlikely to be tempted into spending big money knowing that one of the two may be benched, especially with Aubameyang also considering if he’d get first team football at the club. United are arguably in need of a striker but not having Champions League football may swing against them. Arsenal also undoubtedly have the most favoured style of play out of all the sides as well, with Aubameyang liking to play quick football with plenty of passing and a range of different chances created. Aubameyang thrives off this type of play much more than United or Chelsea’s style, so that could also work in Arsenal’s favour.

The one thing that does concern the most is that Arsenal will more than likely be unwilling to compete with a big money move for the player, which could therefore see Aubameyang move elsewhere rather than to the Gunners. I still think a move to Madrid is the most likely destination for Aubameyang but maybe just maybe, Arsenal have the best shot of Aubameyang out of all the Premier League clubs, if the Borussia Dortmund man does move clubs this summer.

  1. That’s what happen when you have best no.10 in the world. Mesut don’t even say a word but he’s helping for our transfers.
After signing Auba next time a top player and his cousins will look at

    _________Auba______

    Alexis__Ozil__——–
And say I have to complete that space.

    1. Mahrez or Griezmann ( yes he missed that PK in the CL final ) “BUT” either would be great for us in that blank RW spot. It’s a shame Fekir of Lyon got injured when he did he would have definitely been in the French squad and another great candidate for the RW.

    2. pk is not a criteria for determining quality players…. Get GRIEZMANN!

But this Article is a bit ridiculously funny… Tho i made a similar comment concerning Auba this morn

    3. Perfect solution to fill that gap change the formation, aside of 2 fa cups what have we won with it? I would go 2 up front with a diamond or 4411 our most successful formation under wenger.

      New CF alexis
      Ozil
      Cazorla Wilshire
      Xhaka
      Monreal Koscielny new cb bellerin
      Cech

      Back up
      Giroud campbell
      Iwobi
      Ramsey elneny
      Coquelin
      Gibbs mertesacker Gabriel jenkinson
      Ospina

Rest: (if not Loaned) Martinez, Macey, chambers, hayden, toral, wellington, chamberlain, Walcott, welbeck

      Sold – Debuchy, sanogo,
      Loaned szczesney

  2. I See that most on here are stil enjoying the crack pipe.

Good luck with the come downs!:)‎

    1. Admin, I listened to the interview twice. It was BBC. Cousin was asked directly which team he would want Aubameyang to join, he emphatically said Arsenal giving the Ozil reason whom he said will supply him with a lot of assist, and that Arsenal need another striker so he will not be warming the bench. Though Cousin sounded like an Arsenal fan (he is likely), he made me to understand that everybody around the world knows we need another striker (I hope Wenger is among). Well for the reason Cousin gave against Aubameyang joining Real Madrid and the others, if Aubameyang is thinking in that line and Wenger put much pressure (Cash), he can come to us. Happy dreaming though. But dreams can come true. Ask Xhaka.

  3. Auba here would have been the thing. But our Wenger doesn’t really go for them when they are good enough to command tough competition in the market. He prefers to get the lonely guys and tell us that he is ‘top, top player’. Xhaka is good, but if places like Madrid or Munich had been sniffing around him, dear old Wenger would have been scared away….scared silly to even table an offer!

  4. There’s more chance of us signing Lewandowski than there is Aubameyang.
Firstly, the player stated back in January ( At the African POTY awards) that Real Madrid was his ideal destination, something about a promise he made to his Grandfather? ? and when Arsenal were mentioned to him, Aubameyang’s reaction were of disgust and was clearly angered with that Question of joining us.
So I very much doubt that he will be coming to Arsenal, as his ego is far bigger than our club.
I reckon that had wenger signed this player before he moved to Dortmund, he would have probably slinged his hook, after just two seasons, at the club.

    Nice try ?…. Next! ?

  5. I read that Giroud got booed by the French fan’s as the national team left their hotel, They were calling for Benzema to take his place in the team…. at least Arsenal fan’s have some morals.?

    1. Yeah and yet he just scored for them against Cameroon. Giroud has his flaws but you have to admit he has a role in our team, though for most as an impact sub or start depending on the opposition of the day.

    2. we’ve had some embarrassing moments with our anger towards Wenger though. I may want him out but still respect him immensely. And I dont like seeing our fans abuse the players twitter accounts either. Better to just let frustrations out on a forum like this, haha.

      1. Abuse will not be tolerated. Find another forum for that. We are here for friendly discussion…..

  6. Yes, he only wants to play for Madrid, and he said he promised his grandfather he would do so…..

    BUT,has he changed his mind???
Players can change their minds unexpectedly you know…
    Only time will tell…….
