Awesome midfielder backs Wilshere to become Arsenal legend

With Arsenal having already announced the signing of the German international centre back Shkodran Mustafi from Valencia and the Spanish striker Lucas Perez from Deportivo La Coruna this week, the chances of Arsene Wenger adding any more players to the Arsenal squad on transfer deadline day are much smaller.

So a lot of talk about the club today is centred on the potential loan move of our midfield star Jack Wilshere, where he might go and whether it is a good idea in the first place. One man who thinks it could be a great idea is the former Spanish international star Xavi Hernandez, who during his 17 seasons in the Barcelona first team established himself as one of the best central midfielders to ever play the game.

Now playing for the Qatari club Al Sadd SC, Xavi has been giving his thoughts on Wilshere’s loan move, as reported by The Mirror, and he thinks it could be just what the doctor ordered for the injury plagued England international, as long as Jack ends up at the right club.

That club should be one which plays the same sort of football as the Gunners and Xavi’s former club Barca, as that is what he believes Wilshere is so good at. If he does go to the right place, Xavi thinks that our young midfielder could go on to become one of the very best, as he saw close up just what a talent the lad has and how frustrating it must have been for all concerned that injury problems have so far stopped him realising that ability.

The Spaniard said, “A loan move can be a good move for him.

“He needs to be playing, he needs to build up his fitness, and if he can do that I am sure he will still have a big career at Arsenal.

“It’s important that he is loaned to a club that try and play football.

“Arsenal have a philosophy similar to Barcelona’s in their approach to the game – and he should be loaned to a club who want to keep the ball and share that vision.

“He is a young player still, and if he can put the injuries behind him, there is no reason why he still can’t be one of the best midfield players in Europe.”

So what is the right club? And do you think Wilshere will prove Xavi right and become a true Arsenal legend?

Bob.

    1. I hope Wilshere overcomes his injury problem and has a good run of games under his belt. He’ll be an enigma.

      OT:
I just watched Yaya Sanogo on youtube (before he joined Arsenal). Youtube made him look really good. LOL

  1. Gnabry’s sale has Kroenke’s dirty, money grabbing fingerprints all over it. Gnabry is definitely one for the future, and it makes no sense to sell, rather than loan him.

Stop stealing our money and ruining our club, Kroenke, and get out!!!!

    1. @gmv8
How was Serge going to be one for the future, when he wanted to leave? He had a year left on his contract and didn’t want to sign an extension. So, are we to just let him leave on a “free”?
Get real dude. Or think next time before you hit that send button…

  2. What “legend” are you talking about?Wilshere? He did almost nothing for Arsenal in 8 years except keeping the front page in tabloids and being an infirmary customer 24/7.Don’t get ahead on uourself and use big words for small players.Legend is Henry or Bergkamp, wizzards of football and countless goals scorers. This is a great news, finally Wilshere is gone for good.I hope he’s never coming back.Do the same with Walcott and everything is going to be great for our team.I said this for years-Arsenal is not going forward until Wenger drops the utopia called “british core”.The invincibles didn’t have any brits inserted into the team, that’s why their football game was pure art.Next on the list (to go)-Walcott and Ramsey-and the team will be free to play real ,dynamic football.

    1. The legend being refered to as you obviously cannot read is Xavi who ran Barcelona’s midfield for 17 years along side Ineista. I do however agree with you about Wilshire.
