Bad news for Arsenal ahead of must-win Palace clash

It has not been a good weekend for Arsenal as we have already seen Chelsea, Tottenham, Man City, Man United, Liverpool and Everton all secure three points, which means that the Gunners simply have to beat Crystal Palace this evening to keep pace with our rivals.

The bad news is that we are again going to have to go to Selhurst Park with our best defender Laurent Koscielny, and with our third-choice keeper between the sticks again. Wenger explained: “I think from Wednesday’s game, nobody should be out. Coquelin is back available after his family problem. He’s back in contention again. I don’t believe that Cech will be available for Monday night, nor Ospina. These are the two players who will still be out.

“I didn’t mention him (Koscielny) because for me he’s out on Monday night.”

This is not good for us coming up against a team that has found their end of season form with 4 wins out of their last 5, including that win at Stamford Bridge. Wenger also thinks that Palace will be dangerous after that. “Look, what was for sure is that it was a big surprise, because they played away from home and overall certainly it was a shock for Chelsea as well. But we know I would just say the win of Crystal Palace at Chelsea is in the continuity of what we have seen in the Premier League since the start of the season. Surprising results because the difference between the teams has become shorter and smaller, so anything can happen in any game. But it doesn’t change basically my thinking about the game. We know we have to play at our best to win the game.”

Palace are also desperate to win to stay ahead in the relegation race, and after winning their last two home games will be in confident mood as well. Every game is a Cup Final from now on!

Koscielny is a big miss, Gabriel did ok against W/Ham because they didn’t really threaten us…although Kos himself has been a little off form too…..

Maybe we will see the two Germans, Mert and Mustafi,we could do with Mert’s height against Benteke….

    2-1 to the Arsenal…coyg!!!

I never want to see us concede again after keeping cleansheet against Westham.

Do you trust Gabriel to cope with Zaha too, I’d rather Holding plays than Gabriel…

where is Holding, we haven’t seen him for so long. I like Holding more than Gabriel and Mert, but Wenger would rather stick with the current pair than bringing in a new player who haven’t played for so long

We need a third quality cb
Gabriel and chambers are ok but we need someone who is better than ok like Van Dijk, Smalling, Howedes etc

Yea. We need another quality cb who can push koss and mustafi off the team sheet. So that when any is out we will not miss them as much.

WE should get van dijk and send chambers and chamberlain on loan after signing him on a new deal

If we ever want to contenders we have to put away teams like Crystal Palace. Managed by Alardyce it’s not gonna be easy but we have the quality depending on which arsenal turns up at Selhurst Park.

Wenger would have found some way to mess it up even if Kos and Czech were available so I’m not too worried

Very crucial game for us. Hope we get the three points. I think we will miss cech tonight but its good to see what martinez is about. Gabriel still is a little shaky but thats why he is around to step in and cover and compete for that spot. A weekend without an arsenal game is boring

      How is game crucial lol
For our top 4 aspirations lol

Nothing chnages every year and we still give credence to all this

What intrigues me is how this club will chnage in the summer. If it will

It is a very crucial game for us. We just cme back to winning ways againt westham and if you think that our top four is save then you are in for a long ride. We need to win vs palace and vs boro. Those are crucial games for us. Then we start the crunch games
Lei,spurs, man u,stoke, everton. Haha how many points can we get from here? So everygame here on is important. I feel the soton game will add more pressure to us as we hve never won there since they got promoted. It will be intriguing to see how arsenal copes againt this teams as now we are under extreme pressure for that top four and when such teams are our opponents we always bottle it

To be fair this hasnt been our worst season in terms of injuries

But that just shows how bad we are

We are 14 points behind Spurs and 21 points behind Chelsea with most of our players healthy

We have a lot of average players imo

It’s amazing how you all have Sqeaky Bums over a game that we should win. This is not any top 5 team and we can beat them all if the team is the same as last game. It’s about all 11 to be confident and stop worrying if a player is missing. We do what we have too with no help from any other team so let’s get behind whoever is playing and cheer them on. It’s not over till Fat lady sings. CB

we were confident of beating West Brom as well from perceiving them as mid table team, look what happened. theses guys beat the league leaders and now their confidence is over the moon
