“Arsenal players feeling great ahead of Spurs derby match”

Hector Bellerin has warned our rival side Tottenham Hotspur that Arsenal are in a great place coming into the crunch match on Sunday. Arsenal won against Leicester City last night to give themselves a third consecutive win in all competitions for the first time since January, and are now looking ahead to taking on Spurs at White Hart Lane this weekend.

Our North-London neighbours also have their own winning streak to boast, having won their last eight Premier League matches, but will have taken a knock to their confidence after Chelsea knocked them out of the FA Cup last weekend.

Hector Bellerin has attempted to pile more pressure on Tottenham, by stating that his side are in good spirits ahead of the encounter. He said; “It was really important for us to get the win today.

“The spirits were really high after the weekend, so we knew that we had to keep it up.

“Leicester is always tough. They’re a team that defend really well, so it’s always very hard to crack them.

“We had to wait until the last 10 minutes to do it but I think the team deserved the win.

“We had the most of the game and you know, there was good energy and good spirit and we’ve just got to keep it going into the weekend now.

“It’s really important to get to those [derby] games with a good spirit and good mood in the dressing room and after these two last results, the team is in a great one and we’ve just got to keep it going.”

We could usually come into this tie knowing we are by far the superior team, but we have to painfully admit that they are now serious rivals for the top four, and possibly even the Premier League title…

If they do win on Sunday, St Totteringham’s Day will officially be cancelled, and the cleverest response I have heard is that they will celebrate ‘Our Souls Day’ should they win.

In the new system, we have won three out of three, but Spurs use the same system, and they certainly have the more experience using it.

Can we delay Our Souls Day with a win on Sunday? Will last night’s result help Spur us on?

  1. It will be cracking game that’s for sure unless Wenger has done something bizarre in team selection… Over the years we have seen frustrating team selection from Wenger…. Slotting Eboue on Ring Wing, Samir Nasri used to play on left wing instead of Centre Midfield… Wenger has get his team selection right…

  2. I think the spelling is wrong, even though they sound the same ?? ass-holes day, is much better ?
