Bellerin back – But Arsenal still short of players to face West Brom

So much for Arsenal fans hoping and praying to get most of our players back uninjured after the international break, and some of our currently injured ones to be returning to the squad, but Alas!, Arsene Wenger has burst our bubble today.

Oxlade-Chamberlain and Aaron Ramsey were expected to be available, but it seems the only player returning from the treatment room is Hector Bellerin (and that is definitely a very BIG plus). Wenger said this morning: “Hector Bellerin is back, but Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Aaron Ramsey are not available.”

Wenger also told us that Theo Walcott would not be available for “one or two weeks” which means that Giroud must continue as centre-forward, while Le Prof is also worried about playing Laurent Koscielny as, after seeing him play mechanically for France on Tuesday, the Boss seems to think he has been psychologically scarred by the atrocities in Paris, where he was inside the Stade De France when the bombs went off. “On Tuesday you could see he was not himself and it affected him deeply.” Wenger said.

Hopefully we will have Gabriel back to cover Koscielny although the Brazilian may be tired himself and is only flying back from South America today. Obviously the same applies to Alexis Sanchez, and whether he is tired or not, Wenger won’t have much choice but to play him as none of Ramsey, the Ox or Ramsey are available to cover.

It seems Wenger may need to be doing a bit of rotation this weekend….

      1. We have got Bellerin back though…. Monreal and Gabriel will play as well. Hence I was thinking lets give an opportunity to Chambers, see what he can do..

      2. Chambers needs games, no doubt. With a tired weakened squad I would argue for stability in the back, this time around. Mert had a physically easy international break and the Tuesday game against Holland got cancelled. So he should be physically rested.

Let’s give Chambers some games when the likes of Ramsey, Ox, Theo and even Wilshire and Welbeck are back. To bring in one inexperienced player with a fully fit first choice 11 is easier than with a depleted team IMO.

  1. I don’t understand aubout Wenger is that how calmly he states the ozil and Sanchez can wait I am assuming also the fact that players like arteta, diaby were provided swift contract agreements. The situation also happened with van persie, nasri and fabregas.

    1. Hahaha ?
Trust me, your not the only one that doesn’t understand wenger!

I think He is just playing poker with the rumours of there being interest in Sanchez and Ozil from other clubs,
      wenger is bluffing!

Everything that wenger says has to be taken with a pinch of money and not salt! ?
He is obviously saving money by delaying the contract extensions of our star players.

I think it is best not to get any hopes up regarding the January transfer window either!

  2. Why would gabriel be tired when he hasn’t played in over 3 weeks? Also koscielny should get his act together and play, these players need to give their all this season and stop being softies.I miss the days when Arsenal used to have tough brittle players like petit, adams and keown

    1. Chill man!! you cant force Koscienly to play.. you might have no connection with the French but he’s fully French, he’s deeply affected, tells you how much he’s hurt by death of his people. you saw him on Tuesday night??… its not as if he always avoid playing for us and look at what you’re saying.
Go read some playboy magazine if that will make you better

  3. Koscielny maybe rested because of mental issues,
Yet Giroud wanted to beat England to give the French people something to feel good about! ?
Maybe Giroud should have words with Koscielny?

Sanchez, Campbell and Gabriel will probably be suffering from jet lag… as well as being tired.. The bench awaits them.

The good news, Ozil and Coquelin were rested, Bellerin is back and there’s no new injury worries… Yet! ?

We could see Chambers partner Mertesacker? ??
I wonder if we will see Jeff and Crowley in the squad against wba?

    Roll on Saturday ?

    1. Sanchez came from int. break and scored against Watford. Atleast Gabriel and Campbell can play there if not score? Is that too much to ask?

      1. That depends on who you are asking? ?
it’s out of my hands, I’m afraid, otherwise I would have kept all the fan’s happy!…thats If I were in charge ?

You want Messi? I would have got you Messi and his nan,
Even if it meant tapping her up as her toyboy ??
