Can you name the TEN Arsenal players that could play for their countries this weekend?

As usual we have loads of Arsenal players out on international duty during the interlull, and there are ten of them with the senior sides and many more off with the younger squads. So who will you be watching on TV tonight?

Probably the most watched will be the Holland v England game which will have not have Jack Wilshere in the team but he should be okay to play Italy on Tuesday. Danny Welbeck is also in the squad and may make an appearance as Harry Kane is out injured.

Laurent Koscielny will be with the France squad for their friendly against Colombia in Paris tonight and we are likely to see him and David Ospina on the pitch.

The Armenian Player Of the Year Henrikh Mkhitaryan will definitely be playing against Estonia tomorrow, and Mesut Ozil is nailed on to face Spain with the German team this evening.

Meanwhile Granit Xhaka’s Switzerland are travelling to Greece and Sead Kolasinac has been named in Bosnia and Herzegovina’s squad for their friendly against Bulgaria. Alex Iwobi will be in action as Nigeria visit Poland and Mohamed Elneny has been called up to Egypt’s squad for their match against Portugal tonight which is actually being played in Zurich.

I think I will be watching the Holland v England game as Gareth Southgates side is unbeaten in their last six but haven’t beaten Holland since 1996. Germany v Spain could be juicy too, but to be honest I find these international friendlies an unwanted distraction at a crucial time in the Premier League…

  1. Significantly not one of the so called best Arsenal back four will be playing for their countries this evening.Bellerin,Mustafi and Monreal are not even squad players and in the case of Koscielney he is being “rested”.In reality he is no longer a first pick for France with Varane,N,Didi and Laporte ahead of him. That about sums up the defensive problems at Arsenal.

  2. Ozil is now our only relevant international player. Says quite a lot. (Though I’ll admit Aubameyang and Miki are just out of luck.) Kos, Mustafi, have become irrelevant, Xhaka is there by default, Bellerin has not progressed, and Welbeck and Wilshere are not good enough. These are all starting XI players as well.

  3. “xhaka is there by default” my God!! your negative bias let you down on this mate .The guy was labelled the swiss Xabi Alonso in germany…he has shown a lot of class lately for us.AS for Kos he’s still senn as one of the best defenders in europe,Mustafi will come good same for Bellirin

    1. Have you ever heard of the three “wise” monkeys? “See no evil, speak no evil, hear no evil” they are called. Well YOU are like them. Nothing troubles you except your dread of anything progressing or changing. I will say this for you ; you argue your case passionately, as though you actually know something about football. Being so very young , you clearly have no way to compare these mistake ridden snowflakes(who you actually rate!) in todays Arsenal, with the days when REAL MEN were throughout our entire team.

      1. it has nothing to do with passion mate, xhaka was compared by the official chanel of bundesliga,in youtube, to Xabi Alonso,Mustafi has earned over 20 caps for germany,Koscielny was described by Ferdinand, not long ago, as the best defender in the premier league and Bellirin was wanted by barca…so they’r snowflakes!!!!!as for my dread of change rubbish ,progressing don’t mean at all erasing absolutly everything …..

        1. Lenin ,after the October revolution, complained about an electric breakdown. He was told that he ordred to kill all the electric engineers!!!!!!!

          1. This is the second time I’ve read this stupid comment about Lenin. You’re a stats person aren’t you PIRES, everything you talk about comes off the television or computer, you don’t see a player and think ,”he’s a good player” or “he’s had he’s day”. If it’s it not on You Tube or quoted from the Bunderslige channel or Sky channel by Ferdinand then it’s not worth talking about. You have no knowledge of football apart from what you read. When is the last time you actually attended a football match if ever. Can’t you see for yourself that Koscielny is deteriorating or that Xhaka continues making mistakes. How do you listen to anybody that compares Real Madrid and Liverpool legend Xabi Alonso to Xhaka, can’t you see that there is no comparison. Carry on watching You Tube and playing silly football games on your computer, you’re beyond help

  4. Xhaka is showing signs of improvement and may yet make an impact at Arsenal. As for Mustafi, with respect ,you are deluding yourself if you think he will come good.He is bang average at best and is one of the players our Club should move on asap.As it is i doubt it any team would offer more than £12m for him.
