Cracking game to come but Aaron Ramsey confident that Wales will make the World Cup Finals

It is set to be a nailbiting finish for Arsenal’s Aaron Ramsey in the race for the World Cup Finals when they take on Ireland at home on Monday. Wales are currently just one point behind Serbia at the top, but the Serbians have a relatively easy game at home to lowly Georgia.

The Irish sit just one behind the Welsh and can only progress to the Finals in they win the match in Cardiff so the pressure is really on. But Aaron Ramsey is not worried too much as he says the Dragons excel when the heat is on. Ramsey told Sky Sports: “We’re used to these situations, we put ourselves in these situations time and time again and we find a way, that’s what’s so special about this team.

“We wanted to finish off with two wins, we’re halfway there. We wanted to go back to Cardiff with the three points and it’s going to be a big game on Monday night.

“We know our fans are going to be magnificent on Monday and hopefully we can give them something to cheer about.”

Ireland are no slouches themselves and kept themselves in the running with a 2-0 win over Moldova, who are bottom of the Group, but it will be a completely different kettle of fish on Monday. The atmosphere will be electric and the home fans will be screaming like ever before.

Will be seeing Ramsey perform at the highest level again next summer? I will be watching the game for sure. …
