EXTRA – Lacazette first interview – “Arsenal has always been my dream” (video)

Arsenal fans welcome Alexandre Lacazette, and now the record-signing has given his first interview to the fans. He has always loved Arsenal because of the French connection and he wants to score goals and win trophies.

Arsene Wenger is sure that he will help the Gunners to do both, and he will believes that this season we can really compete for the title with the French superstar. ‘We are very happy to have Alexandre join our group,’ said Wenger.

‘He has shown over a number of years that he can score goals and that he is a very efficient finisher.

‘As well, he has very interesting technical qualities and a strong character. So he is a guy who is a great addition for us, and someone who will help us challenge at the top level this season.’

And we can’t wait to see him in action!

    1. Need to see atleast 2 more good signings for Wenger to be forgiven anytime soon. Tlemar and Wcarvallho plz

  1. He’s going to prove to all Gooners how much of a liability OG12 was at Arsenal. Lacazette means quality, and quality is what Arsenal need at the front line of Arsenal attack.

  2. … let’s not carried away about this transfer; personally i believe the best moment for us to celebrate is at the end of this transfer window, only if Giroud and Sanchez stays, unless otherwise all these rumours linking Giroud to everton and Sanchez to city may come back to bite us at the end.!!

    too soon!

  3. Lacazete is only 5,7 which allows him to control the ball well on the ground as well as better balance and movement off and on the ball. Will be very similar to Sanchez without the extra flair and stamina. I hope Giroud stays, we need a combination of both against different opponent.

    1. He’s actually 5’9 which for us Europeans mean 175 cm, same as Griezmann whileas Sanchez is 169 cm.

Giroud – target man. Lacazette – fox in the box. Welbeck – something in between, poacher.

  4. offload garbase plz.
Giroud cazorla wilshire ramsey chambers ox walcot.
Buy half of the German team that won conf cup they wont cost much and they r so good

  5. I’ll like to see Riyad Mahres at arsenal to complement the effort of attacking role and as well as a viable replacement for our injury prone Santi Carsola . If there is any available complete defensive midfielder I’ll love to see that as well.

  6. Why does anyone care if Mr. Average is sold.I hope fans will not igonrantly blame Wenger when he’s sold.He has himself to blame for not making that CF spot his. He’s not clinical, can’t dribble, inefficient,,lethargic, slow, off the pace, frustrating and above all average. If he was in another top club he would have been sold long ago.We need to give that CF slot to someone more efficient.I thought we learnt our lessons after the Monaco match but it seems like we’ve not.Wait till Lacazette goes out with a three or four month injury. Then we will know what reality is.

  7. “Arsenal has always been my dream”….. Similar to what arshavin said when he first came to arsenal. I hope he doesent end up like him !

  8. Good signing so let’s see how he does in the PL.

    I love these introduction videos.

    Could have been
“I always wanted to play for the most successful club in the world” should he have signed for RM…

    Remember this.
