Fixture pressure to destroy EPL weekend for Arsenal?

No matter what happened in the other Premier League games set to be played this weekend, there was always going to be a lot of pressure on Arsene Wenger and the Arsenal players after our side had fallen out of the top four and into the worst position at this point of a season for over 10 years.

It was also the way way the Gunners played in our last game away to West Brom that has upped the pressure from the frustrated Arsenal fans, so the big clash with Man City was already one in which the pressure was on for Arsenal. However, that pressure could be cranked up to the max by the time our game at the Emirates kicks off, purely because ours is the last game of the weekend and that gives all of our rivals bar City the chance to stretch their lead.

First up on Saturday is the Merseyside derby and if Liverpool win they go to a massive nine points ahead of Arsenal. Even though we will have three games in hand that will not look good. Tottenham travel to Burnley knowing a win would give them a 12 point gap with us having just two extra games to play.

Man Uni9ted are at home to West Brom who we must hope can repeat their heroics of a fortnight ago, otherwise Arsenal could be five points behind the fifth placed team in the league and looking at a massive mountain to climb, which is not what an out of form side lacking in confidence needs.

Are you looking forward to this weekend Gooners?

  1. There is no way any of us are looking forward to this weekend! Jeez our 3 wins in the last 2 months have been against Hull and two non-league teams.
I simply can’t see Wenger pulling a rabbit out of a hat this time around.

  2. Personally I am not looking forward to the weekend ” I have no confidence in the players or the manager at the moment and I can also see us struggling against West Ham next week i can see the likes of Carroll and Antonio can’t wait to get at our so called defence . To be honest I’ can’t wait for this season to come to an end

  3. I don’t know if there’s someone on here who’s hopefull abt this weekend. Our players suck not forgetting their boss. If Manchester United is above us on the table, that’s the real definition of disaster in modern football. It took united 5 months to move from 6th position so I definitely believe my darling club is out of top 4. Thanks to Wenger.
Arsenal fans should man up against this dictator or keep throwing your hard earn pounds for him to continue his BS. It’s a sad time of the year to be a Gunner. Have bn growing lean of late. So sad !

  4. Looking at the April fixtures, we could potentially lose all our games. Even 5th spot doesn’t look so certain now!

  5. To be honest, as a fan I have thrown in the towel. In the past, when a top four finish looks in doubt, the team suddenly fires on all cylinders, eventually getting there somehow. This time, everything… I mean everything somehow points to a loss of Arsene’s ‘precious’!
We are not getting in there this time, and funny enough I think inside Arsene knows it!

For me, as a fan since the turn of the millennium, this is gonna be new, it’s impact huge… Now I’m getting prepared mentally….
    Brace. For. Impact.
