Good (and bad) November news for Arsenal!

This time of year is known to be dreaded by Arsenal fans, but news that Hector Bellerin has signed a new six-year deal could well put a positive spin on things.

Last November, our beloved club only managed to gain two Premier League points, including a 1-1 home draw against North-London neighbours Tottenham, but the most worrying statistic would be the fact that our squad picked up as many as nine injuries.

We came into the Spurs game with five injury doubts, although four of those five boosted our squad in time for the match, alleviating stress somewhat. The day didn’t prove to be a success however, with Spurs managing to claw themselves back from a losing position to obtain a point, and November could still turn out to be a dreadful time.

News shook the Arsenal establishment with news that star-player Alexis Sanchez is set for scans in Chile, and is reportedly set to miss a month of play at least, you cant help but have doubts on how the rest of 2016 will play out.

But we now have some good news to cheer about, with Hector Bellerin signing a new long-term deal, shunning the reported interest from Manchester City and Barcelona.

The full-back has been one of our most consistent performers in recent seasons, and he has proven to be wise beyond his young years. There isn’t a right-back in Europe who I would rather have in his place, and he still has a huge ceiling for his potential.

Hopefully Bellerin’s new deal can give us some positive feelings in a tough month, and hopefully it can lift us into better spirits after a disappointing draw, and with having to deal without Alexis for the near-future.

Can we hope that negative November is a thing of the past?

  1. Great news on Bellerin, and I’m not even too worried about Alexis. He may only be out for a few weeks and at least he is going to get an enforced rest. An injury is the only way to stop him playing 24/7!

  2. The best November news will be that Sanchez recovers quickly and we go to Old TRafford next week and heap a great big pile of misery on Maureens head!

It’s a shame we won’t see Wenger geeing the crowd up like Conte did at Chelsea, but I’d love us to get a similar result

What do you want to celebrate November for?

  3. I want us to beat Man United and end the month on top of the League, and also beat PSG and finish top of the Group too!

  4. The doctor, who scanned Alexis for his injury must be a fan of Man united. Otherwise, the news is not what Arsenal fans want to hear now. Let he recover soon and play next week against MU.
