Have Arsenal (and Aubameyang) finally got their confidence back at last?

But Arsenal were equal to today’s challenge as well and made mincemeat of Watford at home. Amazingly it was Mustafi who got our 1000th goal, but the next two were down to our new superstriker Aubameyang and his attacking partner Mhkitarayan, who both got a goal and assist each as they linked up excellently.

It was PEA’s third goal for Arsenal and he took it superbly, and after the game he said that he felt that he and the team around him, had finally got their confidence back. “Yes, it’s starting to come,” he said. “Today was a great team effort. I think the confidence is back I think, for me as well. I am feeling better and I have to thank my team-mates.”

This was only the second time Aubameyang has tasted victory since coming to the club, but he’s confident that tough start is behind him now.

“Of course it’s not always easy to come in into a new team and integrate into the group, everyone knows that,” he said. “So it was a difficult moment for the club, but now we are back on form, and that’s good for us.”

Aubameyang is inelegible for the Europa League, but Mhki is going for his second win in the competition after succeeding with Man United last season. Surely if we carry on playing like this we should become one of the favourites to win it again?

  1. the confidence is almost back….would say approximately 60% and rising

If we can beat Milan at home and followed by Leicester…and confidence level will be back to normal

    1. I did tell you John didn’t I, you’ve never kicked a ball in your life, what kind of a statement is that, approximately 60% and rising. Sounds more like a weather forecast.

  2. I have seen this before because it happens every season once Arsenal is mathematically ruled of winning the league thats when they get their mojo back, too bad this time we are even too scared to compete for top 4 it used to being too scared to win the league, next season under wenger we will be struggling to qualify for Europa league.

  3. I disagree. My calculations makes it 61.75%

Seriously, its too early to tell. Milan played very poorly and our other win was at home against Watford. We need to see how we play our next few home game, away games especially Away to United.

I think Leicester match is postponed

I hope we improve a lot more

  4. Around this time when the season is ending, Wenger”s team can play and you wonder where they have been all season. The reason why I think they won the previous FA cups. After that it gives hope to the fans about the next season and only for it to start and our usual ‘things fall apart’. Wenger in my opinion has failed to manage the mental side of it….I think he’s the one who sometimes makes players complacent against small teams but also who scares them against big teams. I used to observe this whenever we came against teams in the big 4..he would keep standing right from the dressing room which he never does against small teams. I saw the same thing against Milan. Remember he oftens does this when it has reached 80mins and the team is looking for a draw or a win. My point is, why can’t he make his point clear for all games?

    1. Hahaha! Love this comment. to bad the thumbs have been removed, cause you would have gotten thumbs up from me.

ps: admin how about bringing those thumbs back?

    1. There’s something about Auba that makes you think he’s going to score every game he plays. When Ozil gets him on Radar it will only get better. The issue in all this is Lacazette. This boy is a good player but maybe not such a natural goal scorer as Auba. With Ozil And Mikki settling in next season will be interesting to see if we can find a team that includes both Laca and Auba.Lets hope we have a new Manager in place to make this happen

        1. Definitely Phil, with a new manager and some extra defenders could be interesting season and Sue , hope you enjoyed you’re day, you should come more often, lucky mascot.

  5. I don’t think Auba or Mkhit had confidence issues, they just moved to new surroundings. Other players are only starting to figure them out in training. Allot of our problems were down to basic errors, school boy stuff. Our defence isn’t the greatest at the best of times, but they looked better yesterday with everyone niggling away. Mustafi played like he had a point to prove, so did Cech. It was a good performance. Forwards looked like they enjoyed the game, that helps too. Maybe we can gain some more confidence, but that isn’t why we were losing games.
