Have Arsenal really matured this year?

Let’s be honest, most Arsenal fans are not very confident that the Gunners will keep going all the way to the end of the season and win the title, but this is solely a result of our previous experiences where Arsenal have faded only to finish in 3rd or 4th place.

But since the arrival of Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez we have upped the skill level in the squad, and our German Assist King believes this this season we have matured to a level where we can compete with the very best. Ozil said on Arsenal.com: “I think as a team you can see that we’ve become more mature.”

“We’ve learnt from our mistakes and you can see on the pitch that we’re more steady.

“We’ve had some setbacks this season but we’ve learnt from them and it shows on the pitch that my team-mates are looking for me even more and I’m able to control the game better.

“You can see that we function well as a team. It doesn’t matter who plays from the start, we’re always there. You need a big squad if you are to be successful and that’s why things are working well.

“When you look at the past seasons, we’ve always been a technically-strong team but when we played against big teams, we dropped points. In the second half of last season and in this year so far, we’ve proved ourselves against the biggest teams.

“You learn from your mistakes and we can measure ourselves with the best. That distinguishes us as a team.”

Mesut is only speaking the truth, we definitely have improved the results against big teams. Man United, Man City, Chelsea in the Community Shield, even the mighty Bayern Munich! Could this really be the season where we go all the way? Of course it can!

Our defense and CM and lw has matured nicely

    Cech
    Bellerin…Koscielny..Mertsacker..Monreal
    Coqueln…. Cazorla
    ???…….Ozil….Alexis
    ???
The only question marks I have is with RW and CF

    Theo and Giroud are decent
As for RW, I always expected Theo to own that spot but Ramsey seems to have. Ramsey does a decent job at rw but Theo would do a better one. I wish we could have got a Top striker and left Theo on rw.

However, we have what we have and need to support them whatever position they are in.

I still believe we can win the PL

If Arsenal don’t add to the squad in January the required DM AND striker AND fail to win the league I want Wenger to resign. He has no better opportunity than this season to win the title.

Th Squad is no doubt have matured. Wenger also have learnt lessons as we can see his change of tactics against big teams, the first starting 11 are truly world class and mature enough to win titles, but its the squad players that needs to perform when called upon. People like OX, Ospinia,Campbell ,Falmmi, Bedutchy and Arteta are really not up to the mark when called upon. Other good players like Wislshire and Rosisky kept on sidelines for months.
Any team can have injury problems. Its then the responsibility of these squad players to get the team through.
We are lacking in this reagards.

Matured? Its only 15games and we’re talking of d EPL?
Man lets take it one game at a time. The truth is, we need additions, good player improvements… Only then, we can stand a chance!!!

Take a look at the whole year of 2015 we’ve won the most points in Europe with Ozil currently making the most chances this season.
