Have Germany just made Arsenal EPL and UCL favourites?

Arsenal have to make sure that we get all three points against Tottenham in the north London derby first, but with us in great form and the spuds having a torrid time you have to make us big favourites on Sunday. That would be a great start for the Gunners as we try to put the tradition of struggling during the month of November firmly to one side.

After the Spurs match there is another international break and Arsenal’s first two games after it could be absolutely massive for our hopes in the Premier League this season as well as our chances of ending the six year cycle of qualifying but not finishing on top of the Champions League group.

In two weeks we travel to Old Trafford to face Manchester United and on the Wednesday we play host to the French champions PSG and if we win both or even draw the UCL match then the Gunners will be in superb shape in both competitions.

That is why every Arsenal fan should be thanking Joachim Low from the bottom of their hearts, because the Germany boss has done us a huge favour by not putting Mesut Ozil in his squad so that our play maker can have a rest. If you do not realise how important this could be then you have not been watching Arsenal this season.

Could this one move by Low make the difference for Arsenal this season?

Bob.

  1. Off topic: Your headlines are becoming too sensational and ambiguous. Learn to tone it down.

Ozil is allowed to take a deserved rest for a week . That’s good news in all ramifications. But that alone doesn’t make us EPL/UCL favourites.

  2. Indeed good news although Wenger can’t simply rely on Lowe to give Oil a rest. Hopefully a healthy Ramsey will see some time in the number 10 role in the PL to keep Oil fresh (and on his toes if Ramsey turns in couple of Wales like performances)
