Hector Bellerin injury confirmed as he is sent back to Arsenal

The Arsenal defender Hector Bellerin was reported yesterday as having been pulled out of training with the Spain U21 side, apparently, although the nature of this has not been officially confirmed, with an ear injury.

What has been confirmed though, is that he has not just been pulled out of training, but he has also been replaced in the U21 squad by Javier Manquillo, and the youngster will be returning to the Emirates for treatment.

The official Spanish Selection (@SeFutbol) twitter account has released this announcement.

If it is just his ear, then we can still be very hopeful of Bellerin being fit to face Man United next week, but if he sustained some concussion I believe there is a statutary rest period.

Fingers crossed that it is not serious at all….

  1. Surely they wouldn’t send him back with just a sore ear?

If so, get them to have a word with the Chile manager please.

    Anyone know the official reason?

    1. The pic of his ear was from after the Spurs game.
I think he got injured in training with Spain.

  2. Oooooh !!!
    not again !!!

what did we really do to god of injury to deserve this every-now-and-then ????

  3. He’ll be alight to play for us, if a player these days can’t play on with an ear injury well then I’d give up on modern football altogether. We need Alexis for manu, we really do. If we went there without him, Id be thinking lets just try not lose the game.

Look how swiftly che came back into the fold, a draw wouldn’t be the worst at utd, we need to be beating them at home though. liv and spu we f’d up, we bet che, if we win away at utd it would cancel out liv loss, or we could do that at liv later on. The players need to be thinking about this, and the confidence it can bring, we gave a bad defensive liv a boost to their ego, I think they might have shot themselves in the foot a bit more if we had set out with the A game.

  4. I’ll take an injury to any Arsenal player but these ones: Koscielny,Bellerin,Cazorla,Alexis cos there is no like-4-like replacement for them.
    .
Bellerin should be ready for United. probably by January we should look to moving Debuchy n Jenkinson cos they can’t get better than their present level. we could get Aurier to be rotation/competition for Bellerin n could also play in CB.

    1. Jenkinson can only improve and was very good for the Hammers until his injury last season.

The two that need to go are Debuchy and Sanogo. As quickly as possible!
