Is Alexis Sanchez holding up Lacazette’s Arsenal career?

I don’t think that is quite at the time for panic stations for Arsenal fans over our summer signing, but at the same time I think it is fair to say that Alexandre Lacazette has yet to show us Gooners why Arsene Wenger went out of his way and broke the club’s transfer record to sign him.

It could be worse, of course, we could be Liverpool and be looking at Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain like a kid who has just been given a broken toy for christmas, Lacazette has scored already. and shown flashes of his ability as a cracking finisher and a hard worker for the team, but perhaps the better starts to their new careers from the likes of Lukaku and Morata have put his transfer a little bit more in the spotlight.

So people are talking, as people tend to do, and asking why the French striker has not quite hit it off yet and what Arsene Wenger could do to spark him into top form. One of the ideas is that Alexis Sanchez may be an issue, in the way that the Chilean is showing some frustration at his fellow Gunners.

That may be simply due to our poor form, lack of fluency and league position but it may also be down to dressing room disputes, so assuming that Giroud and Alexis are not seeing eye to eye right now, we need to look at Lacazette. The summer signing has shown some flashes of brilliance and scored a few goals, but he has not enjoyed the explosive start we hoped for.

Is this because of the Alexis situation? If so, what can Arsenal do to sort it out?

  1. Forget bloody Sanchez let’s get behind the real Arsenal players. And I bet he won’t get any more than 35 mill. He can’t kick with his left and runs around like a Chook with his head cut off.
    It’s Boreing Stuff. CB

  2. Give Lacazette a break! Take a look at the opportunities or lack thereof that Wenger has given him. By way of comparison look at how many games Dennis Bergkamp took to score his first goal, resulting in Stuart Pearce claiming that Arsenal had wasted the £7.5m they spent on his transfer. We all know how that turned out!

  3. How on earth do you k is what goes on in the dressing g room how do you know giroud and Sanchez are in dispute. I do agree Sanchez is a pro lem.right now for the team and Paul these two guys are holding the club to ransom with their ability I can wait till they get sold and we replace them with Lamar and someone with some pace

  4. I’ve very happy with Lacazette so far! Just a bit puzzled why AW hasn’t played him more. His disallowed goal (that was a missed call) was brilliant and hopefully sign of more to come. I used to watch a fair bit of Lyon matches in the past couple seasons as he was rumored to join, and I think he has true class and quality.

Who the hell are the people that are talking. Is it so hard to resist yourself from writing when their is nothing factual to write about arsenal instead of making things up. Lacazette has done fine IMO considering he is not the focal point of our attacking play. If he is, I bet he would have had more than two goals. I don’t know what to think of this article honestly and to link your fabricated problem with Alexis is nothing but stupidity.

  6. Personally, I believe Wenger is too careful with bringing Laca along. He was afraid to play him against Liverpool and he subs them just when defenses are getting tired. This can not be great for a new striker. I don’t believe it is fitness related, Morata doesn’t strike me as a fitness freak and has no problems.

It could possibly help Laca if he is played in the middle every game and gets a chance to playa long the same players to build up an understanding. Hopefully, that will now happen with Sanchez.

I am sure Wenger didn’t reject 50-60 million for Sanchez to put him on the bench and I hope he didn’t spend 52 million on Laca to put him on the bench either.

Let’s hope Laca and Sanchez get 90 minutes on Monday. They had enough rest.

  7. Let the two guys sit on the bench until they go. They are bad influence to the team. They get paid for what? They should be appreciative coz the money that they get per week, I don’t get it in a year but I am a qualified Mechanical Engineer.
Give Walcott a chance and let these guys rot on the bench
