Is Aubameyang trying to force Arsenal move?

It has been revealed by Guillem Blague that Arsenal are trying to sign the prolific Dortmund striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang from the Bundesliga side, as he posted this on Twitter yesterday….

The actions of Aubameyang seem to confirm what Blague as saying, as the Gabonese international refused to turn up for a “very important meeting” and was dropped from the squad for yesterday’s game. The Dortmund sporting director Micheal Zorc has hit out at Aubameyang and suggested that he would have to go soon.

“At some point you can’t tolerate it any more,” Zorc said. “I don’t know what’s going on inside his head. We had a very contentious discussion today. We’re not used to this behaviour from him.

“What is going on now is not to be tolerated by the club. It is clear: It cannot go on like this. I don’t know what is going through his mind. I don’t recognise him anymore.

“There is trouble in the team and that is not good.”

Despite his discipline problems, the 28 year-old has still scored 21 goals in 23 games in this campaign, and we are only halfway through the season. The question is whether Aubameyang is causing problems because he wants to force his club to sell him to Arsenal, or is he just an ill-mannered lout?

  1. A very welcome addition, Malcom should still come. Then we want Mkhitaryan as part of the Sanchez deal.

With the above strike force, we can gate crash our way in the top four.

    1. Martial rather than Mkhitaryan..

Aubameyang would likely be a replacement for Giroud IMO, as Auba is a taller forward.

      Malcom to replace Sanchez.
Add Pavon there to replace Walcott.
      Torreira to replace Coquelin.
      Fabinho to replace Xhaka.
Fekir or Goretzka to replace Özil.
      De Vrij to replace Mertesacker.

      Anyone to replace Wenger really.

      1. Apparently Wenger wants Martial, whereas Sven wants Mkhitaryan.

The thing is Mkhitaryan is undervalued right now after Maurinho ruined yet another self-confidence, so his arrival is realistic. Martial is currently better, younger, and more useful to ManU, so I just don’t see United letting Martial go.

        1. Would’ve been good to use yesterday because Iwobi Welbeck Xhaka Wilshere were very poor in creating openings. Bournemouth are a little weak aerially too.

  2. The result was a little disappointing but we were without out 2 key players

    No Sanchez and no Ozil….

our creative players are unfit…Wishere just returned from injury

5 games in approximate 2 weeks…players are human and mentally and physically tired…the same for Chelsea and City…

Weak and tired players may incur injuries…in World Cup year…players like Wilshere and Mustafic will not want to take the risk….

    1. Do you ever work? If yes, do you do so 5times in 2weeks? If yes, then you are a lazy modafxxca like Wenger is!

      1. With such comments and comparison

Looks like you have never play football or any high intensity sports in your life….

Its better you stick with Fifa 18

  3. Even if this is true which I doubt three massive issues still remain
    Kronkie
    Wenger
No defensive Midfielder, we are shipping in goals and someone to play along side Wilshere is essential Xhaka is awful along with
    Welbeck
    Iwobi
    Czech
They need replacing we dcan not even have a style of play unless you count sideways sideways sideways

    1. Dont forget that players leaving need replacing:

      Sanchez
      Özil
      Walcott
      Giroud (possibly)
      Santi
      Mertesacker
      Coquelin (left)

        1. Yes, he will.

          Question really is:

Will the new players brought in stoop to new lows under our inept and incompetent sorry excuse of a manager?

          1. Aubameyeng would bang goals anywhere he goes. Even under Wenger he would score goals. That’s not the problem. Kroenke won’t loose the purse strings so we would end up with a cheaper alternative. Wenger has lost his touch as a manager but Kroenke is a tight fisted owner and would rather have profit than trophies. The profit he gets by not signing suitable replacements would go to his other businesses. Arsenal is not his priority. It’s not his only club.

        2. John Ibrahim knows wat happens wen decisions r made concerning rated issues… Do u resign in an organization becos d owner does tinz his way?u work wit d blueprint. Ppl differ! Wenger dis,Wenger dat.U can nail him for loosing out of d Emirates cup, very silly of him…dat I agree!

  4. If this happens the team will be all the better for having him in the side.Wellbeck is not of the quality we need.Tries hard and always gives his all but that is all. My issue is what will happen to Aubameyang’s goals to game ratio if he signs?Lacazette had very good numbers in France but you wouldn’t think so now.Maybe we need something different like a COACH

    1. We don’t really need any signings.
      Wait till the summer.
      Use who we have better.
Ten of Arsenal’s next 12 PL games
      are eminently winnable while
Spurs at Wembly is on neutral ground
and we play Man City at home.
I fo see a huge run of wins for our gunners
and by late April we will be safely in the top 4.

      1. Love your confidence and certainly that’s Arsenal’s trend the last few years – blow it in a horrible month and then pull it together to salvage (or almost) the season. So I agree that we should keep our powder dry for the summer and run with what we have. Not because I necessarily think we will go on a run but because I don’t think Wenger deserves another crack at rebuilding. Let a new manager come in and put his stamp on things. If any signings are made in this window the final decision should be Sven M and Raul S.

      2. Are you Kroenke in disguise? Lol. When Sanchez leaves we will have less forwards so we will need to sign a new forward. If Walcott goes we will have less forwards. We aren’t likely to get any defenders. The best we can hope to do is sign top replacements for Sanchez and Walcott and try to out score the opposition because we will concede goals with our poor defence. If we don’t sign replacements the money from Chamberlain,Sanchez and possibly Walcott will only be misappropriated by Kroenke and go out of the club, probably to his teams in America. We can’t afford to wait till the summer transfer window. If we sign quality players in January players like Ozil and Wilshire would be less likely to leave. If we don’t get in suitable replacements not only will we probably lose Ozil as well but it would be much harder for us to finish in the top 4 or win Europa league. Keeping our best players like Wilshire and Ozil would attract players in the Summer, signing quality in January will temp Ozil and Wilshire to stay.

      3. Barryglik Are you Kroenke in disguise? Lol. When Sanchez leaves we will have less forwards so we will need to sign a new forward. If Walcott goes we will have less forwards. We aren’t likely to get any defenders. 2. The way we need to address our situation is to treat January like the end of season (which it pretty much is).We know where we need to strengthen and we know who fill these (many) gaps. This is what is needed. 1)inform our current manager his P45 will be in the post after the last game of the season. If he had any professional pride left he would see this as an opportunity to at least go out on a positive by actually TRYING for the next few months
2)Pay Ozil whatever he wants.Players sign for the CLUB and if Mesut signs it sends a positive message to all potential signings.3)Do not let Wenger buy anyone who is not cleared by our 2 new Transfer Guru’s.He has proved he can’t be trusted.Lets treat NOW as the end of the season and let’s hit the ground running in August. Remember-We are bigger and better than most.Players will come to this club because of WHO we are.

    1. Lol ?, or Jay Jay okocha. Besides are we still talking abt top 4? It’s all over, no top 4 finish for us, this season is totally a failure even EUROPA league is over as well, cus nothing gud is coming out of it, we need changes and we need it now, Wenger times up.

  5. I want to see changes in the playing pattern and we bring in Aubameyang and Malcom. I would let Ramsey go too and bring in Guades from PSG or Lemar from Monaco. I do not trust Kosienly anymore, he is getting injured too much for my liking and despite what people are saying Calum Chambers is not very ready yet. I would look for a CB and Manolas from Roma would be great. Petr Cech too need either competition or replacement and Sergio Rico from Seville would fit the bill. I would go with this pattern and this team:
Pattern 4.1.3.2. Playing with three Attacking Midfielders and Two Central Forwards. No Compromises.
    ———–Lacazette(CF) -Aubemeyang(CF)——–
    ——-Guades(AM)-Wilshere(AM)-Malcom(AM)—-
    ———————-Xhaka(DM)————————
    Kolasinac(LB)-Mustafi(CB)-Manolas(CB)-Bellerin(RB)
    ————————–Rico(GK)————————–
Wenger should have noted that Lacazette performs playing off another striker and their partnership with Aubameyang would be very mobile. If we somehow keep Ozil then Wilshere plays where Guades is position but still as one of the three AMs in the side.

    1. Manolas signed a new contract in November I think.. So he would cost 60-70 millions…

And Xhaka is not a DM, no matter how we would want him to be.

      1. I agree with you. Xhaka is not a DM. Perhaps we should change formation to 4312. The 3 midfield been A proper DM(Nzonzi/AMN) Xhaka and Wilshere. Ozil Playing behind a front 2 of Auba and Lacazette. Sell Sanchez to Man United. Buy Auba and Nzonzi. Sell Welbeck as well. Keep Walcott. Four strikers should be Aubameyang, Lacazette, Giround and Walcott.

  6. Well our main issue is creative mid Fielder who can pull strings, only bringing striker will not change anything and our defense is non existent,we need CB and a DM.

    1. We need a B2B player…someone like Bakayoko who is big strong and tall…

Hes struggling at Chelsea…maybe he would be a good fit for us?

  7. Why would he come to us at the moment?

Many players may look at us and think twice at the moment.

It’s imperative that Alexi is shipped out ASAP and Ozil if he wants to go. Sick of this are they aren’t they rubbish.

  8. Another pacey striker, when we already have laca, a pacey striker?
Wenger use 343 with ball possession oriented, its not suited for pacey striker (laca is best sample how he hard to adept).
Wenger change to 442 with winger or buy a targetman striker.
And dont ever think auba can play as winger for sanchez replacment, hes striker, so play him as striker. Dont think like wenger who have mindset that every players can adept to new position well.

  9. @Sandeep, We are not scoring goals and I’m a believer that if you do not score goals you will concede and lose games. Our last 5 goals are Bellerin, Bellerin, Wilshere, Mclean (Own Goal), Sanchez, Mustafi…

This is telling us that our offensive side is suffering, and possibly that affecting our defensive players. Xhaka is not that bad and can lift his game, but if you play with Welbeck, Iwobi, and A Sanchez&Ozil who want out…well, you will have your spirits low.

  10. My thinking would be how come Klopp is not going for him, they have a space opened up and that attack would be cut throat with him in the side, they have money to burn and Klopp worked with him before. Maybe Klopp thinks his pace will be going after two seasons time so would he be worth that money. I don’t know whether to believe this rumour, it has an air of truth about it with your man Zorc saying what he said. They prob want the money to get the Brazilian boy if rumours are true.

    1. “how comes Klopp isn’t going in for him”
Probably because he has Mane and Salah and Liverpool are not struggling to get goals. They already spent 40 mill on Chamberlain, they still have Sturridge to squeeze in to their team and he can’t drop Firminho in his current form. Aubamayeng would be a starter in any team he went to. He would either bench Lacazette at Arsenal if we signed him or play with him in a new formation.

  11. Unambitious. Retroactive. Indulgent. These 3 traits have killed us now for 10 years. To stand still at the top you have to get 5 new faces a year, we have never done that, instead we play catch-up, and spend weeks waiting for new players to come good when they should have had time to settle in to a strong squad. Indulgent? We have allowed mediocrities to earn fortunes, nonplaying injured captains to linger for 18 months or more, and the whole team to at least appear more interested in hair styles than busting a gut. Glad I gave up the season ticket!

  12. Buy cr7 and messi if u like, so long arsene is still in charge ,we are back at same point.
When lacca arrived I saw the enthusiasm and fire in his eyes but now he passes to the opposition in the bid to play d copied tikitaka wenger is forcing every1 to play

    1. Yes – good teams with good managers can play tikitaka (Barcelona and Pep come to mind). Average teams with copyist managers (Arsenal and Wenger come to mind – latest copy was Chelsea’s 3-4-3) have reduced it from tikitaka to tippy tappy. In fact I remember Pep saying a while ago that he no longer liked it.
I believe Wenger is living in the past and is ruining Arsenal in his vain hope of fulfilling his dream of getting Arsenal to play like long ago Barcelona. When your feet are firmly planted in the clouds what else can you expect? Will someone please tell him the whole universe of football has moved on! Although how you contact someone living in cloud-cuckoo land is beyond me. An Ouija board perhaps?

    2. CR7 has 1 outfield goal every 40 shots in Laliga this year. By far the worst of any attacking player in Europe’s top 5 leagues.

Wouldn’t light our world on fire even if we had Pep or Juergen.

  13. This is a good start.

But, again, a world class CDM has to be priority, right? Following this, a world class CB.

Chambers and Holding are trash. Mustafi not that much better.

    1. The 2 you mentioned are indeed Championship material, though every time I said this fans get upset. They could be mid-table defenders if Arsenal had decent coaching, but without it our only hopes are signing someone who’s already good or someone who is at least physically superior – like Mavropanos is compared to other defenders we have. But the kid needs a year at least, and which top class defender will join a team like ours where most defenders regress?

  14. As usual Arsene will get in 1 or 2 players, one for free and still make a profit if this was the summer transfer window, however this is the winter window so don’t expect more than 1 player if at all.

  15. Please sign him we have been craving a player like him for ages .. Sanchez going might be a blessing fingers crossed
