Is Bellerin really annoyed with Wenger or was he just rested against Brighton?

According to recent reports, the Spanish right-back Hector Bellerin was angry with Arsene Wenger for being dropped a couple of hours before Arsenal’s game at Brighton this weekend. Many pundits have been saying that the Spaniard has been extremely ineffectual this season despite playing every minute of every League game in this campaign, but with an obvious lack of backups since the sales of Matthieu Debuchy (who has been playing like a genius since joining St Etienne) and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain (who forced his move to Liverpool), the only option Wenger had was to give his place to Calum Chambers.

Chambers was rated our best defender on Sunday, although that is not saying much, but apparently Bellerin thinks he has been made a scapegoat for Arsenal’s rubbish recent form and is going to try and force a move away again this summer to rejoin his family over in Barcelona. This rumour is being widely repeated but the fact is that it could just be another bit of sensationalist made-up click bait from the mainstream media.

But of course it is also possible that Wenger wanted to give the 22 year-old a rest ahead of Thursday’s game against AC Milan, after playing so much already this season, but that is hardly such an interesting story is it?

I guess we will find out when Wenger names his starting XI in Milan on Thursday….

  1. Rumour has it that Juventus is going to offer £45 million for him. Or Barcelona. Apparently he may have demanded a transfer.

    He wants out i think

  2. I don’t think Barcelona would still be interested in him, because of his performances in this season, so he just needs to suck it up whenever Wenger wants to try someone new in his position

Wenger should not use Chambers as an RB again, because he is too slow. Maitland-Niles would be a much better option, because he is faster and not afraid to get past the opponents

Maybe Bellerin would work better if he plays a right winger, since Arsenal are lacking penetrations in the wings

    1. Chambers has been rubbish at RB since he came, but the stubborn one keeps playing him there. He annoys us too much and still renews his contracts.. b******t

  3. Please sell him, sell him, sell him and sell him. The only three players that should remain as part of first eleven next season should be Ozil, mini and Auba.

    1. Whoever cannot perform in this season should be replaced next season, be it a mega star or a new player

We would not want this season’s mentality to infect the new players in the next season, because we expect the new manager to instill discipline, positivity and confidence

  4. we r bringing top class players n making them sh¡t.ozil, auba, lacca, mikhi, cech, mustafi, kos everyone is sh¡t now.
obviously we need an modern manager.

    1. Thats a good point
      Lacazette scored 38 goals
Aubameyang was scoring right and left
Mustafi was on the winning World Cup Squad. So was Ozil
      Mkhitaryan was excellent in Germany
Kolsanic was rated one of the best LB in the Bundesliga

Also he treated Podolski and Perez badly
And played Oxlade in wrong position. Hes doing better at Liverpool

      Wenger destroys people’s souls
He must have the Soul Gem ? that Thanos is looking for

  5. I would like to see what the new manager can do with Bellerin first. He was in the team of the season.

Something changed when he started growing his hair. And we all know Wenger can’t coach himself out of a paper bag.

  6. Belerin can go he is useless on one to one defending his always turned he can never win ariel’s and everyone knows his weakness and also loves being ahead of our strikers leaving our right venerable 45 Million we will be laughing all the way to the bank and should put on top and get a real top defender

    1. before we get rid of the whole team we should first get a new manager and then a goalkeeper then a back four defender’s then defensive midfielder then someone should wake Ozil up from his winter hibernation and then the job is done

      1. Ozil always played like that before joining Real Madrid and Arsenal:

        youtube.com/watch?v=-eeC_lWi7Z0

Arsenal need a more hardworking false nine like Firmino or a more skillful attacking midfielder like Isco/ Thiago/ De Bruyne to play behind the striker

    2. Many people said bad things about Debuchy when he sulked, but look at his performances now at Saint Etienne. Similarly for Gnabry and Oxlade-Chamberlain

Bellerin was a hot prospect and I feel a good manager can bring the best out of him, maybe not as an RB but could be as a right winger. But I agree that if another club offers 45 millions for this boy, Arsenal should not refuse it

    1. I agree. These players are far too protected. Wrapped in cotton wool and get their hair and nails done by Wenger post match..Time for the club to grab the bull by the horns. If they shit or lazy get them out . Passion and desire should be no 1 ingredient followed by good football skills. So tired of hearing poor little players confidence is down. Time to grow some pick your overpaid asses up and get yourselves winning or leave. We don’t care if you lose the battle but at least go out fighting .
